Very welcoming, friendly, and helpful staff. The meal was excellent, all homemade. As for the accommodation, it’s very cute and clean. Spotless. You can go there with your eyes closed. Thank you very much 😊

“Fairytale scenery, sweet people”

Literally everything. View was majestic . Bed was super comfy The design is very cute Was super clean. The bathroom had really hot water. Breakfast was the best we had in Albania. Homemade marmalade and spoon-sweet by the owners Restaurant had also great and good value for money food. Restaurant's (and breakfast) view is also poetic. Location is perfect, because it is next to the castle and close to Ali Pasha Bridge, while it is very easy to drive there and possible to find parking spot. We found one right outside of the hotel. Center is reachable within 5-10mins walking but it is a downhill and rocks are a bit slippery (no problem for us) The owners and the mother of the woman were sweet like sugar, plus the ladies speak Greek as mother tongue.

The owners of Te Kalaja are the sweetest human beings ever. When arriving they got into our car and showed us our parking spot during our stay. They showed us how the hotel & restaurant has been in their family for decades and gave advice on what to visit and how to go on with our trip. The location is awesome, looking at the historic castle and having breakfast with that view is amazing. The food is very good and their breakfast has everything you need. Definitely recommend staying here

Comfortable room and bathroom, very spacious. Close to the castle and to the center. Since we had to leave at 8AM and the breakfast only starts at 8h30 the family was kind enough to prepare us a breakfast the day before. Available parking space.

We had a lovely time here, everything was exceptional. A short walk to the main town and to the castle (be mindful the roads are cobble and can be steep). Room was clean, tidy. Hosts were absolutely lovely and even ironed a few tops as we had forgotten to pack one. Could not recommend more and will be back in the future.

Super clean, quiet and comfortable room. The deluxe room is very nice, with a good bathroom. Breakfast and lunch was excellent, fresh and home made. Short walk to the castle. Excellent value.

It was the perfect stay. We were a group of 3 and the room was perfect for us, clean, tidy and everything was new and functionable. The hosts were amazing dhe so kind, we felt so welcomed. It is just 5 min away from the Old Baazar dhe the Castle, which was really great. Also, the breakfast was so delicious. We are totally coming back again when we'll visit Gjirokastra dhe totally recommend it.
