“Great location and wonderful pool”

The room was clean and well organised, good strong shower. The pool was great, it has an amazing view over the town. The host was very friendly and helpful, he speaks multiple languages and he really makes sure guests have a wonderful time.

The guesthouse was in an extremely beautiful location and the space itself was so peaceful, gorgeous and well kept. Ernest and family were perfect hosts, so kind and helpful and lovely to chat to. The breakfast was an amazing addition! We loved the town of Gjirokaster and wished we could stay longer

“Disaster / Bedbugs”

It was a disaster, there were bedbugs everywhere in the room. The owner relocated us in the middle of the night, not even surprised by us complaining about bedbugs. Looked like he knew which would make sense as it seemed to be deeply infected.

Very cosy place with a homely feel. Beautiful view over the city from the pool area. Nice to have a pool after a day spent exploring the city. The area around was quiet even though it was close to the city centre. The host was friendly and helpful. We also got a lovely homemade breakfast.

The house has a great location to discover the old town. The garden is well-maintained, the owners are helpful and friendly. The view from the top terrace is amazing.

Great location, close to everything. We also loved the breakfast, with a view. The pool is a bit cold, but should be perfectly refreshing in the middle of the day when it’s warmer.

The host was super helpful and super nice. The place is peaceful and super close to the bazar and all the restaurant. We really liked the quiet night, the good breackfast. It was raining so we didn’t go in the pool but it really would have been a pleasure. We recommande !!

We loved Staying at Sokaku I te Marreve Guesthouse. The location was fabulous close to everything. The guesthouse very comfortable, cozy & authentic. Ernest (and his mum) was an incredibly kind welcoming host and very helpful in finding parking and showing us where to go. The breakfast was lovely and personable. A home cooked breakfast served to the table. Ernest always checking if everything was satisfactory. Gjirokaster is a beautiful place and we highly recommend staying at this wonderful guesthouse.
