“Great place!”

A wonderful place! Quiet and peaceful, a bit off the beaten track. A lovely terrace with a beautiful view of the surrounding area. The city center is only a short walk away, a bit uphill, but if you come to Gjirokastër, be prepared to walk uphill and up stairs. That's how it is here... Private parking is close to the apartment (you can't drive right up to the apartment anyway – that's the nature of this city...). The owner is friendly and helpful. One important note: pay attention to the information the owner sends. I missed it and instead of going to the petrol station to meet her, I tried to use my GPS to get to the apartment. Bad idea, don't do it – I ended up getting stuck in the narrow streets of the old town, and it wasn't easy... But that was definitely my fault. After contacting the owner and arriving at the petrol station, everything went quickly and smoothly. It was a very pleasant few days. I could come back here again. Thanks!

What a beautiful place, in a fantastic location within the city. Great parking facilities and everything in the apartment we needed. The views on the patio were stunning and there was even a washing machine. Fabulous communication and really friendly mum and daughter who were available to help in any way. Many thanks for a lovely stay.

The apartment was in the center and very near the attractions. There was plenty of space inside and the furnitures were new. It exceeded my expectations and was better than the photos

This is the place to stay in Gjirokastër! We had the best time at the Villa Martin. The apartment is beautiful, clean and well equipped. The best thing was the spacious deck with a wonderful view of the mountains and the old town. It is only a 5 min walk to the bazaar and old city centre but far enough away to enjoy peaceful and quiet evenings on the deck. It is definitely also worth checking out the restaurants away from the touristic old town just a few minutes from the villa (Xhanari for traditional albanian cuisine and delicious salads and Coku for amazing fine cuisine). There is also a private parking space close to the apartment which was really great because of the narrow and steep roads in the old city . Many thanks to the very friendly and helpful hosts!

“A great stay”

We occupied Villa 2, which has the bedroom and bathroom upstairs, and lounge, dining and kitchen on the bottom floor. The unit is spacious with a firm and very comfortable bed, very clean, good internet and well located half way between the main road and the bazaar in a really quiet spot. It has a great view and some outdoor space. The owners are delightful and will go out of their way to ensure you feel valued and welcome.

This apartment is situated very close to old city, the view from terrace is fantastic but the most important thing is the owner, she is very hospitable and friendly person! This place has very unique climate and it is made with tase. I strongly recommend this apartment to people who want to visit Gjirokastra !

The property was decorated very well with all the necessary things inside . It was very comfortable for a couple but also for a family . Everything was great . The hosts were very welcoming and they made us feel at home . Also the location was very good because its near the centre of the town which you can reach by foot its not necessary to move the car . I will recommend the place to all of my friends and family .

We had a great stay at Martin Villa. Centrally located with walking distance to the main attractions. The apartment was super clean, comfortable, newly renovated and had all the facilities, The host is very friendly and gives detailed suggestions to make your stay perfect. Highly recommended! Will visit again.
