The building was like a trip back in time. Beautiful old structure with ornate timber ceilings and a spectacular view. Breakfast in the courtyard was also lovely.

The property was excellently located. The staff were all extremely kind and helpful. The beds were very comfy and the rooms were clean and pretty. The bathroom was also excellent. We had breakfast and it was delicious! And the staff were very helpful in getting our car parked.

“Just okay”

I'm not sure how these other reviews are coming up. The location is not that great it was very difficult to find you will not find it with your GPS. The rooms are outdated some of the curtains are hanging off the AC did not work very good The rooms are clean there is a refrigerator downstairs with water and soda there's no other food here or restaurant. It's a steep hill to get up if you want to go walk around anywhere at all. There is another hotel that they own maybe that one is nicer. I paid $50 a night so there's not much to complain about but if you're looking for more of a hotel with a restaurant and more amenities this is not the one. I got lost I had to actually pay somebody to bring me here when you call the hotel there's nobody that speaks English in the evening at least.

It really adds a personal and authentic touch to the experience. The breakfast was also very good, with fresh options served in a cozy setting. There’s convenient parking available at the hotel, and the historic center of Gjirokastër is just a short walk away – perfect for exploring the beautiful old town without needing the car. If you’re looking for a unique and comfortable stay with a touch of history and heartfelt hospitality, this place is a true gem. We would love to come back!

Exceptional hospitality from Carolina. She was incredibly welcoming & friendly and the breakfast portions were massive!! Lovely balcony and room with AC with a stunning view (especially during sunset). Bathroom is very modern & clean.

A very refreshing and well-maintained environment, where traces of the past were evident and preserved with great care. The staff was very cooperative, and smiles were never missing. The traditional breakfast was delicious and rich in variety.

Our stay at Hotel Kalemi exceeded all expectations. The staff personally helped us with parking, breakfast was truly exceptional, and the overall hospitality was outstanding. I’ll gladly recommend this hotel to all my friends and would love to return.

“À traditional haven”

This hotel is a beautiful old ottoman period house. The rooms have many traditional features, but the bathrooms are modern. It is well placed for access to the castle and old bazaar. The staff are charming and helpful. Breakfast is copious and local in style. It is served in the courtyard, on the terrace or indoors as one wishes. There is a chilled cabinet for soft drinks and beer. This is very good value and a great place to stay.

Very helpful staff. They came to meet us to help with directions and parking. Access was difficult as it is in the old town but the location is great for sightseeing. Excellent breakfast. Some noisy music from a neighbour.
