Amazing views from the 2 balcony/terrace, perfect for my morning yoga practice. Peacefulness, location and extremely kind and attentive host Lorenzo. His mum makes quince jam like my grandmother did, delicious.

Everything was just perfect - room, facilities, location close to the bazaar and castle, the terrace is comfortable and has a beautiful view. The host was so kind and helpful with everything. Faleminderit!

The staff was very friendly, they help us park in the very narrow streets. They helped us with our laundry. They terrace has a very beautiful view, which is also were the excellent breakfast was served.

The location is perfect, 5 min walk to the bazaar and the stairs to the castle. Also the view is very nice from Gjiokaster and the castle. From our room, as well as from both terraces. The host is super friendly and will help you with whatever you want. Breakfast was simple and our kids would have like a little bit more of everything, as teenage kids just love to eat.

We had a city and Mountain View from the room, balcony and rooftop where we ate breakfast, which was amazing. Lorenzo and his family were very welcoming, helpful and kind. He always asked if there was anything we needed with our room and gave helpful tips for places to visit in Gijokastar and other areas. Wish we could stay longer!!

We had a great stay at Memushi Guest House. The accommodation was comfortable, clean, and in a great location. Lorenzo was especially welcoming and incredibly helpful throughout our stay, always making sure we had everything we needed and giving great recommendations. His hospitality really made the experience even better. Highly recommended!

View from terrace is great! Location for a walk to the castle.

The accommodation was very pleasant, just a little cold in the room, but there was heating. I recommend a room other than the ground floor. We would really like a hot drink at breakfast. Tea or coffee. The tea was always cold.

This property is truly amazing! The views are unbeatable — from the terrace, you can see both sides of the town: to the left, the modern cityscape, and to the right, the charming medieval structures. The rooms are cozy, the atmosphere is homely, and the people around are incredibly warm. What made this stay exceptional was the owner and his family. Their hospitality goes beyond expectations. As a vegetarian who doesn’t even eat eggs, finding suitable food in Albania was a challenge, but the owner made sure I was well taken care of. He prepared a delicious, wholesome meal just for me and even packed some food for my journey to the next destination — such small, thoughtful gestures make all the difference. There was also a moment when my car had some trouble. Without hesitation, the owner called a friend and arranged help, ensuring our trip continued smoothly. It showed how much they genuinely care for their guests. For the price we paid, I believe this is the best place to stay in town. The views are far better than any other nearby property, but more importantly, it's the people who make this place unforgettable. It’s not just about the rooms or the infrastructure — it's the warmth, kindness, and effort of the people behind it that create lasting memories. I would highly recommend this property over any other in the area

“Loved it, the location, hospitality of the owner and the location!”

We travelled with our 9 year old child. The guest house is located in the heart of the city, we walked only a few minutes to enjoy the beautiful old bazaar. The landlord is hospitable, warm and friendly and we really felt like at home. We felt looked after, we ate tasty breakfast at terrace with an amazing view of the city. We would definitely come back, I strongly recommend this place! What was great was the garage where we could keep the car ☺️
