“A country getaway with animals, grand views and close amenities for comfort”

It’s peaceful, great views and easy to walk around. The fire place was just what you want in winter. I was 8months pregnant and that king sized bed was a godsend, I had such a relaxing time and the deep bath with sea salts was a plus. The sheep are adorable and so many kangaroos around too. We had a great walk around the property and the outdoor seating was perfect for sitting having lunch and enjoying the view. There was DVDs to watch and board games and if you did want to venture out Gisborne is really close, the autumn trees were insanely pretty in June. Will definitely come back when I’m in need for a break.

Quiet in the country no lights. Very comfortable and clean. Loved the big room and bathroom. Great kitchen dining and shared lounge area. Breakfast was also great.

Me and my partner had a fantastic stay, what didn't we like?! The lovely host couple have an amazing home which they warmly welcomed us into! We had our space in isolated part of the property with with everything we need and more for the two of us and our puppy! The view is breath taking and it's so peaceful out at Rooks Edge. The way they've got this set up is just amazing, definitely would recommend and re book! And they even let us check out late, with no fee. My partner and I both said this is the first accommodation in years we cant fault.... thanks Ronelle and James

The most tranquil I have felt in a very long time! Such a beautiful place to stay and everything that we needed. The room was large and comfortable, the kitchen facilities and breakfast plentiful and animals aplenty! Ronelle was such a wonderful host, we even got to herd sheep with the dogs. Could not fault this stay in any way.

Fireplace and plentiful supply of wood Owner who was friendly and attentive The facilities are perfect for dog owners as the rooms have concrete floors plus there are multiple paddocks for dogs to run and play ball.

The property is located in a beautiful and peaceful area, surrounded by hills and open fields. The room is spacious and features both air conditioning and a cozy fireplace. From the balcony, you can enjoy a lovely view of sheep passing by. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a generous selection of essentials: yogurt, bread, jams, milk, juice, coffee, and tea are all provided. You'll also find olive oil and a wide variety of spices for cooking.

“I found a piece of country paradise.”

I needed a place to relax for a few days and that's exactly what I got. I couldn't have been more thrilled with relaxing on a working sheep farm, in front of a log burner with my knitting and books. WiFi was excellent and I think I could possibly even have worked from there if I'd needed to. It was a bonus to discover Ronelle dyes her own yarns and to get a tour of the wool shop and a new knitting project for me.

Everything was wonderful. Our city Border collie was in awe of the sheep. Clean and very comfortable accommodation. A great place to relax and unwind.

Is is a very nice and clean property. The bathrooms are very modern and very clean. All rooms have a separate bathroom, which is very convenient.

Fabulous location in the country beside a national park. The house is beautifully built, extremely spacious and comfortable. Our hosts, Ronelle and James, were exceptionally warm and welcoming. We particularly enjoyed the farm/airstrip tour and the demonstration of a top sheep dog 🐕 at work.

This is a remarkable property. Gorgeous views, the most amazing sunset I have seen in ages. It just went on and on. The wonderful thing is the owners approach to their farm and animals, their care and dedication to honouring the land, the environment and the lives of their animals and the wildlife. “Amazing B & B”

Amazing location and absolutely beautiful rooms and facilities. Room and bathroom was huge and everything you could want/need was there. The view was stunning and the owners were lovely. A perfect place to stay. We will definitely be back again. What a gem!
