The location was perfect and very quiet. Close to all Gion attractions and walking distance to Nishiki markets. Facilities were new and very clean. The only downside was the hard beds.

Amenities were fantastic! We had a mini laundry machine in the room which was a bonus! Also had a tiny kitchenette which was so nice.

The room was very nice and had everything I needed. I prefer hotels with apartment style rooms because of all the amenities. The location of hotel was excellent. Right in the Gion area. There was ample of shops, restaurants and cafes nearby including a nice tea room showcasing all the different varieties of teas from different regions of Japan. Everything that you would want to see in Gion is within walking distance. And because the hotel is in a quite street is not noisy at night.

“A simply but cosy self-service hotel with a few quirks”

- Hotel Suhaana is a nice hotel located in the Gion district, a quick 5 minute walk from the nearest subway station - The room we booked had a double bed and was spacious enough for us to have our bags open and still comfortably move around - Hosts had good communication, sending instructuions a few days prior to ensure that you aren't caught off guard on check-in day - We were able to drop-off our bags before we checked in, which saved us the hassle of having to look for bag lockers - Inclusion of a washing machine in the room makes laundry very simple and greatly helped us out

“Very nice Japanese hotel near Gion”

Located in a very nice neighborhood, near the centre of Gion and within walking distance of a subway station and taxi stand. Room is small, but has everything you need for a short stay including laundry facilities.

Room is good, location is not too bad, near the train station exit gate 5. Just abit dark when it comes at night. the alley is quite dark, felt like someone watching from behind if walking alone. near to train exit. near to convenient store . elevator is fast. the light uses sensor to detect of there's movement it switches on, but there are time when there's no one there but the light switches on and off..

Love the location! Washing machine was handy and was easy to find it. Room is quite small but we did fit with our 2 suitcases :)

Beautiful little flat, with basic equipment to cook and compfortable bed, easy check-in and check out. Very practical in a cute street close to the metro line.

Location is great, it is on a quiet street close to Gion quarter with a lot of food options and night life. It is also walking distance e to many temples and shrines. NISHIKI MARKET is also within walking distance. ATM and 7 eleven are around the corner. Room is larger than most hotel rooms and very quiet.

Spacious, so handy to have a fridge and a washing machine! Very responsive staff over messenger and had a very smooth check in/ out process. Could drop off our luggage early and they even let us check in early when we arrived as the room was ready. Easy walk to the main areas and connecting train stations. No convenience store super close but good enough. Good aircon!

It was very clean and a perfect location. The room was surprisingly spacious compared to what I've experienced in Japan, and the kitchenette was very handy. It felt like incredible value for money!

“Good location, peaceful stay.”

Excellent location, right in the centre of Kyoto in a peaceful and quiet neighbourhood. Short walking distance to bus stop and train stations. In fact, you could walk to Gion if you’d want. It’s that close. The property itself was clean, but nothing too amazing. It was a simple one bedroom apartment, slightly smallish but comfortable. Loved the toilet and bath area. It was clean.

Kitchen and location

Great location, in a quiet street but still close to a lot of venues, despite the small space it had a lot of equipment, everything was modern, and despite no personnel on site all the communication went very smoothly
