Lovely cute accommodation not too far from Bari. The accommodation was clean and the staff were friendly. The dinner was amazing - it was all homemade and taste great. The farm is quiet and a great place to disconnect. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a place away from the city!

“Wonderful place and hosts”

We had an amazing stay at the Agriturismo La Civetta. The newly renovated agriturismo was beautiful, with lots of little details, and the garden and outdoor area were lovingly landscaped. The owners and staff fill fill the place with soul. Maria Teresa prepared a delicious breakfast buffett with traditional Apulian dishes - from cakes to savory dishes - all lovingly homemade. One evening, she even cooked a private dinner for us with local specialities and wine from the region. They also gave us great recommendations for local restaurants in the area. The accommodation is located close to Matera, Taranto and its beaches, as well as Bari and the airport. The military airport next door did not bother us. During our three-day stay, we only witnessed one training session in the afternoon and found it quite interesting.

“Amazing stay”

Our stay was amazing, the rooms are spacious, clean, well designed, and welcoming. The pool is great to be at and hang around. But best of all was our host, so sweet and helpful with everything. Also the breakfast she made was amazing! All in all - we can't recommend this place enough!

This is a place with a soul and a great country side atmosphere. You have an opportunity to eat nice Italian breakfast, also savory, prepared by very friendly Maria Teresa. It is also possible to order a dinner (the day before or on the breakfast). We had such an option once and despite our plane delay, we have been really nice served with a dinner.

Such a wonderful place in the heart of Puglia. Maria Teresa is the most loving and caring host. She prepares a selection of homemade Italian dishes for breakfast every day and cooks an amazing local dinner a few times a week. A family-friendly place, perfect for staying with our 8-month-old baby. We enjoyed the beautiful garden and visited all of Puglia’s highlights from here (max 1.5 hours’ drive). Gioia del Colle is just a 5-minute drive away, with several nice restaurants. The military airport nearby did not cause any nuisance at all, with only a few planes per week. Grazie Mille, Maria Teresa. We would love to come back!

“Quiet, clean and comfortable location run by wonderful hosts”

Superb, fresh and vast breakfasts, different every day - my girlfriend can not eat gluten, so everyday half of the things were specially made just for her ❤️ Room was spacious, very clean and suited with everything you need. The bed was very comfortable. Location is great for discovering Puglia with a car, many cities are achievable within 1h drive. There is a military airport just across the field, but we were exited to observe how jet fighters lift off every now and then.

We had an amazing stay at la Civetta. While the place is very authentic, it is also very well designed and somehow modern as well, a perfect blend ! Rooms were sparkling clean, breakfast was divine. The pool is a strong asset to the place. While its next to a miliatry airbase, that is not an issue at all, we saw a few fighter jets each day which was actually fun, but an issue at all. There is also no noise in the evening so thats fine. The location is also conveniant if you want to day trips to the cities arround (we did matera, alberobello, monopli, polignano a mare etc)

Maria Theresa was super friendly and a great host! We were lucky to have the chance to have dinner at La Civetta the first evening, and this was really amazing: loads of great food, all local, super nice! Breakfast was very good too, again with local, self-made products, and different every day. The location .. we were very curious about this, with the highway and the military airport so nearby. But neither of these bothered us: we only saw a few planes, never in the night / early morning. And the quick highway access was actually quite easy. Also Goia del Colle, the nearby town, is actually quite nice. Make sure to have dinner at Osteria Del Borgo Antico there, one of the best meals we had in Puglia! :-) The room was nice, spacious. Good shower, where the water was warm quickly. And also .. the cats / kittens, adorable! :-)
