This magnificent landmark hotel is situated on the Rock of Gibraltar, and has stunning views. Built in 1932, it is decorated in a colonial style, and its famous past guests include Sir Winston Churchill. Rooms at Rock Hotel come with satellite TV and facilities for making tea and coffee. Each also has its own bathroom, and views of the sea. The hotel’s restaurant also has panoramic views across the Bay of Gibraltar, the Spanish mainland and the Rif Mountains of Morocco. Guests can enjoy an open-air seawater pool, which sits in its own secluded garden. The town centre is just 1 km from Rock Hotel, with a shopping centre within 2 km. There are botanical gardens to visit just 100 metres from the building. Please note that there is a possibility that the swimming pool may be closed some days due to weather, at the discretion of the management.

The location is wonderful giving fantastic views of Gibraltar. Main attractions are easily walkable. The nearby pool that had recently reopened was fantastic and not too crowded as it was mid April. The assistance in recommendations of what to see and arranging a taxi after checkout was much appreciated.

“Relaxing and enjoyable and a great way to end our short break.”
The swimming pool was a lovely relaxing way to spend the remaining afternoon of my break away with my family. We enjoyed the meal in the restaurant and relaxing in the cocktail lounge afterwards. The views from our rooms over the bay were wonderful.

“Fantastic wedding day at the hotel loved it”
Beautiful historic hotel, clean, great spaces, good food. The room was nice, clean, great matras, spacious bathroom. The pool is very nice too but on the other side of the road. Staff was very friendly. We arrived early but could use all amenties until room was ready.

Out of two days one day the shower was unusable due to lack of cold water. No information by the hotel about the problem, no excuse, no compensation.
