The food was excellent, and the rooms were clean and the hot water was wonderful after a day of climbing

The guesthouse is located in a quaint village in the mountains. It's a great base to go on the hikes in the area. Go for the half-board, the dinner is excellent!

Remote mountain village at 1,500 m altitude, accessible via a steep sandy track (4×4 required!). Beautiful views and terraced fields. Very good, fresh, traditional local food. Special thanks for providing a separate heater — without it, we would not have been able to stay with two small children in single-digit temperatures, as the entire hotel is unheated, including the common areas. The property is located on a north-facing slope, where the sun reaches the area only from around 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in December. As a result, it does not warm up, and there is no opportunity to sit in the sun in the evening. Don’t forget a sleeping bag and a thick winter jacket — a bit like staying in an alpine mountain hut.

Wonderful guesthouse in a fantastic mind blowing environment. Ideal to disconnect from everything and do some trekking and walking. The homemade food is delicious and the staff even if the staff really care about you. It is cold during the nights due to the altitude so you need to factor this and bring extra layers especially if you come from straight from Muscat or the airport. The trekking routes from there are not easy . A lot of rocks and in the foggy weather is easy to get lost so be prepared. But if you have some trekking experience they are absolutely wonderful. Bring extra water and food with you.

The house is located in a wonderful position at the end of a remote valley, facing cultivated terraces and palm trees surrounded by a chain of mountains. Sunrise is spectacular and the terrace is a nice treat. The owner Samir, is a heart full person, and was very welcoming and kind. He’s also available for supporting tourists on the drive up and down. Wonderful typical food cooked by his wife.
