Right centrally located, literally opened the door onto next door restaurant/ bar - delicious pizza there btw!!! Even with that it was very quiet. Close to trams, right on the canal and on Sundays there was a book/ record market. Heaps of space, nice big bath tub and big table/ living area.

Very kind host and a beautiful accommodation. Nice location in the city as well, with a secondhand book market right outside every Sunday.

We had an amazing experience in Ghent, and this accommodation was a big part of it. The location is unbeatable, right in the center, and the room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully prepared. Erik was an outstanding host — always helpful, responsive, and genuinely kind. He made everything easy for us, from clear instructions to being flexible with our schedule, which we really appreciated. Everything was smooth from start to finish, and we truly felt welcome during our stay. If we come back to Ghent (which we definitely want to), we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended!

“Not good! This is a very niche place to stay”

I need others to know the bed is sunk into the floor. We found it impossible to get in and out of, my husband had to sit on the stairs and roll onto the bed! The toilet was tiny, the bath water was cold before it hit the bath tub! The shower was ridiculous, the water went everywhere. It took longer to clean up than to have a shower! The bath is sunk into the floor also with no handles or non slip bath mat. The front room held no comfort, it was straight onto the road and the owner uses it as a shop/museum so people are looking in all the time. The only chairs are like old school chairs with no comfort at all! There is a small chaise lounge, room for 1 only! Nowhere to sit and relax! The front door does not close and anyone can walk in! Through a massive glass door there is no privacy when you go out, everything is on show! The curtains cannot be closed when you go out! We were bitten to pieces, not sure if it was bed bugs or mozzies! This was part of our honeymoon and to be honest it was NOT Good for us! Feel so disappointed and a total waste of money!

“Very calming place if you visit Gent”

Eric is one of the best hosts you could ever dream to have! Even tho, there was a slight inconfort for us in the beginning, Eric insisted to make it right for us, it was wonderful! Seriously, this has been so relaxing for us, it took me one week to come back from this trip and write this review. The place is also right in the center, next to the canal, you'll be in the right place to visit the city! For sure, if we come back to Gent, we'll stay with him. Thank for everything! We look forward to our Antwerp at your other place!

“Particular but suprisingly comfortable room in central Gent”

Comfy room and bed. Lovely bathroom. Water and tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Fabulous breakfast. The location was spot on.
