“Quaint and peaceful cottage in a central location and with everything we needed.”
This is a charming and very quaint restored worker's cottage in a great location in Ghent. The owner, whom we met briefly, was very pleasant and friendly. Despite retaining a pretty rustic appearance, it had everything we needed: enough kitchen equipment, a good shower, large comfortable bed and 2nd sofa bed, WC which was separate and opened off the front hall not the main living room, and there was space for our bikes in the secure yard. The heating from the easy-to-operate burner soon made the place cosy. The situation is very central but peaceful. Supermarket was c.4 mins' walk away. There is a great code operated door opener, so you don't need to juggle with a key or fob and you can just pull the door shut behind you. The space just worked for us as 2 friends sharing but those in this situation should note that getting to the toilet entails tiptoeing through the living room past the sofa bed and that the top floor room is not shut off from the downstairs. So you need to be good friends!

“Simple but lovely”
Host was friendly and gave all the important information. House was nice and with character (I mean it an old house, so it is normal to expect squeaky floors and so on). Quite near to old town, in a quiet hood.

The house is very tiny for 3 people and for 2 guests it would be nice actually. It is very old which adds character and the location is brilliant. The kitchen is very rudimentary but useable. Rudy was very good at giving us information we needed before arrival. The stairs to the upper floor are steep and were challenging for one of our party with some mobility issues. The main bed upstairs was comfortable. The parking was close and easy to access.

Perfect location plus free off road parking for the car. Great communication from Rudy, comfy bed and a little welcome box of chocolates! The cottage was perfect for our one night stay - wish we could have stopped longer as we loved Ghent.

“A lovely stay in this quaint cottage”
Location was excellent. Very close to the city centre. It had a dedicated parking space. It was very comfortable and warm during a rather chilly week. We had everything that we needed.
