Overview
This glamorous hotel is situated on Getxo’s elegant Paseo Zugazarte. Rooms have a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi and décor inspired by the 1920s. All overlook the sea or hotel garden. Hotel Embarcadero is set in a former Basque mansion in Las Arenas, in the heart of the coastal town of Getxo. There is easy transport to central Bilbao via Gobela and Areeta Metro Stations. Traditional Basque cuisine is served at the Embarcadero’s café-restaurant. There is also a gift shop. Private parking is possible on site at the Embarcadero. Vizcaya Bridge is just 800 metres away, while Bilbao Airport lies within 9 km.

“Loved everything about our stay here”
The double/twin room with sea view was stunning. The staff were wonderful, in particular Leire at reception. The food and atmosphere at the restaurant/bar were lovely, with plenty of locals present in addition to guests. Would happily stay here again!

“Charming character location directly on the sea front”
Very friendly staff. Very comfy rooms. Restaurant and breakfast area opens on a quiet terrace on the garden. Short 5 minutes stroll to Getxo, the Vizcaya transporter bridge and the pedestrian/touristic Areeta neighborhood. Conveniently close to a tube station that makes Bilbao city center 20 minutes away. Directly on the line to San Mames or the Old City. During our stay, a family was marking a family occasion, good sign that locals actually rate the place. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to visit again. Thank you!

The staff were really helpful. We enjoyed the location and getting into Bilbao was really easy using the Metro. We had a superb dinner in the restaurant.

“Overnight stay before heading back on ferry and wish we could have stayed a week! Incredible hotel”
Location is great, great room esp with us having a dog with us. Restaurant food was incredible as was breakfast. Huge bath towels which is rare these days. Underground parking too.

“Perfect hotel, perfect location”
Stunning building and wonderful waterfront location. Easy safe street parking (which was free) and lovely garden & terrace. The room was spacious, comfortable bed and fabulous large windows with views of the garden. Very easy access to Bilbao as the metro is 10 minute walk away. Nice residents lounge with terrace overlooking the water and coffee. Coffee machine and water in rooms. Really helpful staff.

“Embarcadero Excellent Service and Location”
The staff were very friendly, especially the reception men Xabi especially. We ate mostly away from the hotel with friends but what we had at Embarcadero was good.The location is excellent with views overlooking the harbour and easy walking to the Metro for trips into Bilbao.
