We ended up booking here after our original choice had canceled. While at first disappointed, this turned out to be a happy little occurrence. The staff were warm and welcoming, the food was affordable and tasty, and the rooms were warm and clean. Breakfast consisted of a variety of breads, cold cuts, fruits, cheese and jams, as well as coffee, juice and water. One of our favorite things about the hotel was the phenomenal views in the area and the peacefulness after a week in the cities. While we did not choose to head to town while here, if we had wanted to, a bus ran hourly from Zarautz, Spain.

Beside the bus stop. Very friendly staff. Lovely display of woollen craft. Because I booked and paid for 2 but was only 1 person, I was offered free breakfast - very very nice gesture. Well done Hotel Azkue.

Very nice traditional hotel but with, inside, very modern and efficient equipment: lift, shower, etc... EXCELLENT food, nice personnel, private parking. Very quiet at very nice diner and night at this typicnight. Very reasonable prices. Altogether very satisfactory.

The staff are very friendly and helpful with a lot of local knowledge, some speak English which helped us get by. The rooms are spacious and good facilities. Food is hearty and authentically loca as well as cheap.

Liked the hotel, room, breakfast, staff were great. Restaurant was closed for holidays, which we hadn’t been informed of. Staff worked hard to get us a taxi in and out of town for dinner, but we’d have stopped en route if we’d known the restaurant was closed

We were late, but were warmly received and fortunately we could also have dinner in the restaurant. Dinner was fantastic, breakfast, on the other hand, a bit skimpy. It is a cozy family hotel that looks like a chalet in the Alps. 10 minutes by car from the beach. and a charming fishing village of Getaria.

This is a superb family run hotel. We are most grateful to the excellent hosts for their great kindness and wonderful welcome on our arrival. The beautifully prepared homemade food was delicious. Our hosts gave generously of their time to source travel information and provide expert guidance to enable us reach our planned destination.
