Overview
Located on a hill in the Gero hot-spring area, Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Gero Shinkan offers indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths. A free shuttle is available from JR Gero Train Station, which is a 10-minute drive away and must be reserved at time of booking. Guests can enjoy plenty of sunlight in the air-conditioned rooms, which features Western beds and a tatami (woven-straw) seating area. A flat-screen cable TV, a desk and a fridge are included in each. The en suite bathroom comes with a hairdryer and slippers. Pastor Hotel is a 10-minute walk from Gero Onsen Gasshomura Village and a 15-minute drive from Zensho-ji Temple. You can sing their favourite tunes at the karaoke rooms or purchase local gifts at the souvenir shop. A sauna and tennis court are also on-site and free parking is available. The front desk offers luggage storage and photocopying services.

The room is big but a bit old. The breakfast is good. The onsen are normal styles, simple one. You need to drive or call taxi to the onsen street. You can enjoy the snack and drink at the resting area at ground floor which is very nice. Not much entertainment, just ping pong and karaoke.

The amount of facilities was overwhelming and the service couldn’t be better our host helped us with the suitcase to our room. The dinner and breakfast was outstanding and everything was perfect to the very minor details.

“Large and comfortable hotel with hot springs and good meal options.”
The view from the balcony was beautiful and the hot springs were also enjoyable. they also had a small outdoor bath. The food selection for breakfast and dinner was quite big and really delicious. The lounge area with unlimited drinks was also nice. rooms were extremely large.

“A Room with a View”
Due to the location of the hotel, every room would have a commanding view over Gero and the surrounding country. I was especially impressed by the reception area and lounge, where there was a free flow of drink. The onsen was also good with excellent facilities.
