“Quiet night”

We were greeted with a warm reception. The room was very large and spacious and there was a fridge but no kettle, coffee or tea. They provided two large bottles of sparkling water for free which was greatly appreciated after a day of cycling. We were are the first floor at the back so we were not bothered by any road noise that you may experience with a room at the front. Make sure you are aware that there is nobody on reception after 6pm. They make it quite clear. There are key boxes for late arrivals and if you go out in the evening make sure you take your key.

Was ok

It was very difficult to arrange a 9pm check in. We were told by the hotel to phone between 4&5 pm on the day of travel. They didn't know anything about our booking and advised us to email. Quite stressful as we were between two flights.

I enjoyed dinner out of doors. I liked the room, even though it was on the top floor. And the breakfast was good. There is a brilliant ice-cream shop just up the road, too.

Great breakfast choice. Terrific garden location. The bed was very comfortable.

Large comfortable room, very clean and well furnished. Helpful receptionist who lent an adaptor as ours didn’t work. Good selection at breakfast. Well located to walk into town. Stored our bikes securely in the garage.

“Half business, half scam”

I am an Airbus engineer, I have been in probably a few hundred hotels in my life, never had such an experience: This "hotel" was a total waste of money - locked deserted building with no-one at the front desk at 7pm. I was told my key will be in a Safe in the right side of the main entrance. I could not find it, nobody answered the bloody phone number. Spent one hour in cold and darkness searching for that safe, gave up, luckily I have found another hotel in a few hundred meters with someone at the front desk... Second day in the morning I had to check if I am a total idiot or the hotel information was inaccurate. I learned that you have to pass two private apartment blocks to the right, go in a private backyard and somewhere on a back wall were the Safes... absolutely unbelievable experience.

The hotel was comfortable, the breakfast very nice and the staff were very helpful and friendly. My only criticism is that I would have liked to be able to make a drink in my room..

Great evening meal and good breakfast. Staff were very attentive. Free cold water on tap at the bar, with refillable bottles.

Restaurant was closed. No reception after 6 pm. No hot water in our shower room! Beds far too soft. No air cooling in bedroom & road noise with windows open.
