An exceptional villa — we’ll absolutely be back We’ve stayed in a lot of villas over the years, but this one genuinely stands apart. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this wasn’t just a rental — it was a home that had been thought about properly. Our host’s welcome set the tone immediately. Brilliant local restaurant recommendations, always on hand throughout our stay, and nothing was ever too much trouble. Communication was seamless from start to finish. They even arranged a visit to Maleme airfield for us, which turned out to be one of the highlights of the whole trip — the kind of personal touch you simply don’t get from most places. The pool was a huge hit with our two boys. Heated to a perfect temperature and — somehow — impeccably clean throughout, despite being surrounded by grass and trees. We genuinely couldn’t work out how it stayed so pristine. Inside, everything you need is there and done well. Comfortable beds, a well-equipped kitchen, and a load of small details that quietly make a real difference: eggs, salad, cheese and a loaf of bread waiting in the fridge when we arrived; dishwasher and washing machine pods already stocked; coffee pods for the machine. These things sound minor but they matter enormously when you’re settling in after a long journey. We’ve stayed in plenty of villas that call themselves five-star. This one actually is. We’d come back in a heartbeat.

The host was very responsive, helpful and supportive. She welcomed us with a big smile, made it super easy to get into the apartment and even had juice, buiscuits, and some food ready for us. She was extra attentive to details and prepared some toys and pool accessories for the kids.

We loved nearly everything. This was a great villa. Tall ceilings and big windows and lots of room. As a family with 2 boys (14 and 11) the facilities were great. The pool exceptional and a full size table tennis table. The house owners were very accommodating offering us fruit on a arrival and in between and making sure we were OK all the way through. The beds were very comfortable and although the location didn't have a great beach near it, it was close to Platanias a small town which hosted lots of little shops and restaurants. We drove to all the wonderful beaches Crete has to offer and loved to come back to this wonderful villa.We were sheltered from others eyes and there was a sliding gate that locked to keep us all secure. We were very happy with everything and recommend it highly.
