“Simply The Best”

Great little family run hotel. A lovely pool next to the bar. The bar does lovely snacks as well as meals. Really clean rooms with aircon and a safe, comfy beds and clean towels and beds made daily. This hotel has really got everything covered. If not just ask the owner Manilos and I'm sure he'll sort it for you.

Super location super clean super staff

The place is very clean. Our appreciation for this! Equipped with everything you need in the rooms. Has also a restaurant, shop, 2 swimming pools for adults and children and the garden is really nice. The bus station near, but if you want to visit great places on the island, we recommend renting a car (the way to the beach here is a bit dirty). They were also kind when we asked for a change with an extra person and they confirmed promptly. The boys from staff were really kind.

I must say it was an very good experience! I highly recommend it to fellow travelers seeking comfort and exceptional service.

The property was pristine clean set in beautiful gardens and only a short walk to the beach, the views from our room number 211 were amazing and will be something I will remember for ever.

Relatively small hotel, quiet and peaceful. Has own mini market for basic supplies and a larger super market is within a walking distance. This was appreciated, since we tend to prepare our own breakfast and occasionally something light for the afternoon as well. Vagia Mare has also a small restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, but 10-15 minutes walking takes you to Platanias village with plenty of choices. We had a roof top room with two nice balconies just for ourselves, plus a larger one that was shared with other residents on the same block. On this third one they had some sunbeds as well, but no umbrellas or shades. The overall level of maintenance is very good from room cleaning and across public areas. Also the gardens were in good shape.

Just been to the Vagia Mare hotel in gerani Crete. This place was spotless, I would hand on heart say this was the cleanest place I have been! the family run hotel was impeccable, the owner Manolis, wife Lia and family were welcoming and warming and added bonus of true humour 🤣 I will definitely go back again and again!! There is a bus stop outside hotel, which takes 30 mins to chania 👍 which we done and was pleasant. We also walked to plantanais couple of times 10 mins walk or 2 mins on bus! But to be honest we were happiest and staying in around gerani 👍

“The best hotel in the world”

The cleanest hotel in the world. Family business, everybody helpfull and friendly. We came at 3 a.m., the owner leave us direction at the reception, the room was open. He leave as beverages in the fridge. We ate breakfast after 10:30 although it was served from 8:30 to 10:30. Big portion and variety. Lunches also very tasty. Room was spacious and comfortable for 2 adults and one child. Swimming pool was ideal for very hot days, like 35C, deap, clean, with showers and bathroom close. In distance 100m there is a beach with grey sand with small stones but also beautifull clear water. We recommend ceramic shop 150m from the hotel, best for souvenirs. Chania is 30min by car. Perfect staying.

We have found a hidden gem, so lucky to have spent our holidays in this beautiful place. The hosts are very kind and attentive, they put a lot of effort to keep all guests satisfied. The apartment is spacious, spotless and well equipped, the garden is well maintained, the pool area is relaxing and big enough. The beach is just 200m in front of the hotel. A bus stop next to the hotel is really a great advantage. The price-quality ratio is excellent!

A lovely property 20 minutes drive from the Chania old town, set in a quiet area of Gerani by the sea. The family run property is kept immaculately clean, and they are always available, providing an excellent, friendly service. The room was large with a small kitchenette, and a spacious balcony was perfect for breakfast and enjoying a glass of wine whilst watching the sunset over the mountains. There are rooms with sea views. The long beach, perfect for walks, is 50m from the property. The room had twin beds plus a sofa bed..

Overall super lovely stay! The owners Lia and Manolis are great people who really care about their hotel and the people staying in it. Huge room, with all you could need. Kitchenette, balcony, air-con, Greek TV. Meticulously clean. Beach with clear warm water (mid-late September) literally across the street! And a good-sized pool for the days when it's too windy for the beach, with wifi and a bar. The owners also make their own delicious wine, olive oil and raki! And the food in their restaurant is all homemade and authentic. Every dish we had was finger-licking good! Cannot say enough good things about this place! For a no-fuss chillout time by the sun and ocean - this place is all you could ever want :)
