Too mny stairs to negotiate partcularly for seniors with luggage. Too small refrigerator. No place to dry wet clothing and towels. Too warm duvet. No place for comfortable seating particularly during the bad weather when balcony is not available.

The location was good. We were doing self catering. It was worth spending 5 days there, the owner is so friendly, the place is neat and cozy and relaxing for two people who want to spend some time away

Just outside of George Away from traffic and other noise. We opened the doors early morning and all you hear is the waves breaking on the beach in the background and the birds singing away as the sun came up.

The setting is beautiful, peaceful, and definitely suited to a summer stay. The hosts were attentive enough and very accommodating, however, not in one's face. Everything was clean and well-cared for - no issues with hot water.

We had a wonderful stay at Oriole! The location and view are amazing! The cottage is built above the trees, looking out towards the sea. The cottage has everything you need and is thoughtfully decorated. We especially loved sitting out on the deck and watching the birds.

“Lovely quiet place in the coastal forest”

Lovely view and forest all around. The facility was well equipped and no loadshedding was experienced. The host was friendly and helpful. Parking was provided off the street. Close to the town/city of George and right on the N2.

What a beautiful place! Everything you need is right there. The layout is well-designed, and the facilities are complete. The host is helpful and informative, and the view is incredible. It's compact but comfortable, with a cozy bed and top-quality linens. They provide a warm blanket and a gas heater, which is perfect for those chilly nights. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there's a comfortable workspace or dining area by the large window where you can admire the view. The shower is convenient and easy to use. Despite the fact that the host lives in the unit above, there is no noise or constant movement that disturbs you. You almost don't even realize there are other people staying there; they move quietly and respectfully. However, there are two things that could be a concern, but I believe the host can address them if discussed in advance. Firstly, parking is only available for one vehicle, and the space is quite limited. I would recommend discussing parking options with the host in advance if you have a larger vehicle or are towing a trailer. Secondly, while towels are provided, due to the season (winter), they don't dry quickly, taking almost 2 days to dry completely. I would suggest either bringing extra towels or asking the host for additional ones.

Friendly host, beautiful location. Provision made during loadshedding. Milk, rusks, coffee and tea provided. Very clean!
