Overview
Located in Gennes, just a 15-minute drive from Saumur, Domaine de Joreau offers a communal lounge with a wood-burning stove and a children’s play area with a swing, slide and trampoline. Angers is a 30-minute drive away. Accessed by a private entrance, all rooms feature parquet flooring, a wardrobe, desk and heating, while some boast views of the park or a seating area. The en suite bathroom is complete with a hairdryer. A breakfast serving homemade jam, seasonal fruit, homemade bread and local milk and yoghurt is available each morning. Guests can also sample traditional cuisine in a meal prepared by the hosts, upon request, meals need to be booked with 24h notice. . Doué-la-Fontaine Zoo is a 20-minute drive away and the Loire River is 2 km from the property. Additional features include the on-site donkeys and free Wi-Fi access throughout.

“A wonderful stay in the Loire in a beautiful location and great hosts.”
The whole place was perfect. Beautiful location, excellent rooms, wonderful hosts who practically handmade all the food, including a wonderful supper. Petra was extremely helpful leading up to our visit with tips and advice.

“A delightful spot”
It was a lovely stay and the host was great and very helpful We were cycling along the Loire Velo track so we could store our bikes safely in the garage. Breakfast was lovely and it was also available quite early so we could get cycling.

Friendly people. Very large and clean room and bathroom. Very good bed. We had a vegetarian dinner which was very good. Nice breakfast. Very quiet. We slept very well.

The breakfast was very good and Petra cooked us an evening meal which was good. We were made to feel welcome. The bed was very comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. The house is set in lovely grounds. Petra speaks perfect English making it easy for two people with very little French.

Duplex Room
The duplex room has no en suite bathroom. The duplex is a complete independent unit with bathroom and separate toilet on the ground floor and the bedroom on the first floor. A historical staircase leads to the first floor. It is steeper than usual and therefore not recommended for people with knee or heap problems. The bathroom features a huge walk in shower, hairdryer and slippers
