“Great location but communication is very poor”

The apartment is in a fantastic location, just a couple of minutes to walk into the town and five more minutes to get to the station, and access to the rest of the beautiful Black Forest by train.

Great position, off the town centre in a quiet road. Very clean and well thought out apartment. Lovely bathroom. Comfortable bed. Kitchenette has essentials including coffee maker. Plenty of places to eat in town. Walks and trails right by the apartment take you into the countryside. We came by train from Basel and it’s an easy walk from the station. We appreciated the Konus card and used it to visit Baden Baden and the Black Forest Open Air museum and our onward journey to Freiburg. Would definitely stay again.

“Superb appartment in the middle of a beautiful village”

I would highly recommend this apartment and the town. It was a spotless, very large apartment with everything you needed for a stay. The bed was very comfortable and the shower had excellent pressure. We appreciated the use of a washing machine and dryer. The location was excellent in the middle of the town within easy walking distance of lots of restaurants and cafes.

Big duplex appartement with nice bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, living room withdining table, comfortable couch, tv, balcony/terrace and two bedrooms. Everything was up to modern standards, cosy and very clean. Hosts are easy to contact and very communicative. Right in the town center, restaurants and bars around the corner.

We had a lovely time at Ferienwohnung St Marien. We stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment with our son, which was very clean and nicely decorated. The location was perfect, in the middle of the old historic town close to all the shops. The host is very friendly and accommodating! Very much recommended.

This set of apartments are very good. It is clean, well appointed, very nicely renovated for short term lets, I felt it was value for money and we stayed just over a week. It would be unseemly to make any complaint. Ferienwohnung St Marien is very central to the old town of Gengenbach. It is literally 1 minute from the main square, cafes, restaurants, shops. The streets outside have just pedestrians and some passing cars. The apartment came with a parking spot which was perfect and right at the front door. There is a lift - again perfect. The view towards the church was fab. I loved hearing the church bells each hour and chimes on the quarter. The kitchen has everything you'd need if you want to cook in - but you can so easily nip to Dreher's for your coffee, cakes, bread, you can eat magnificently at Pfeffermuhle and many more places just a few steps away - so I only used the kettle and fridge. The bathroom was 80% perfect with only the hand sink and mirror causing any sort of comment. The whole apartment was wonderfully heated and the thermostats all seemed to work well. Almost too well but then you can cantilever a widow so easily to let in some fresh air.

The property was ideally located in the centre of Gengengbach complete with safe parking on-site. The apartment was spotlessly clean and very well equipped for our stay. Very modern with comfortable bed, living area and kitchen fitted with everything needed and very ample storage space. The owners were on hand if needed and were friendly and efficient. This was an absolutely faultless stay. Perfect.
