“Well located property ... and we loved Gengenbach!”

A spacious apartment, well-equipped, nicely furnished with a kingsize bed; handily located centrally and without any noise issues. Gengenbach is a small, scenic, compact and fairly vibrant town, with the main emphasis being on eating & drinking out, especially during the good weather when one can sit outside. We loved it there! Our main daytime activities were Black Forest walks and visiting nearby places by train (we were given a Konus card for free travel). Triberg has the world’s largest cuckoo clock, and a forest walk with viewing platforms of the “looped” railway. Schiltach is a scenic and tranquil village which is also well worth visiting by train.

Everything was fabulous. One of the best apartments in one of the most beautiful towns in Germany. Wonderful hosts in Ann-Katrin and Steffi. We will go back every time we are in the Black Forest.

Comfortable apartment, well located with all the facilities you need for a few days on the road. The walk around the town to Jacob’s Kapelle and through the vineyards was something else!

“Lovely stay in the heart of Gengenbach”

We stayed here for 4 nights and the location was absolutely incredible as you are right in the heart of Gengenbach literally next to the main square. The building itself is beautiful and the apartment has all the facilities you could need for a longer stay, including a dishwasher and washing machine. There were parking places just outside to load and unload our car and there was free parking available about a 5 minute walk away - the accomodation provided us with a list of all the parking in the vicinity which was very helpful. There are many bakeries and restaurants well within 5 minutes walking distance. Communication with the host was excellent and very prompt, and we were provided with a few extras which we needed during our stay. Overall this is a lovely place to base yourself for a trip to the Black Forest, especially the Kinzig valley.

Lovely apartment in an historic building in the centre of the town. It had everything I needed, was quiet and easy to walk to the train station. Good communication with owner via WhatsApp about access. The free Konus card was great to visiting different places in the Black Forest.

Just an absolutely fantastic place to stay - we loved every minute of it. To be in the middle of the town and the heart of the history just fitted the bill for us.

Great location, enjoyed having the extra facilities of a kitchen and washing machine after staying in hotels throughout our trip.

We liked Gengenbachvery much. Our room was ideally located in the old town, to all facilities and the railway station which was essential. The facilities at our stay covered all requirements.

We enjoyed being in the pretty part of the old town centre. We were also given a Konus card, which allowed us free travel on trains and buses. The instruction manual was excellent.

Loved it here, the apartment has everything you needed, including cooking equipment. The location was very central and easy for traveling around. Our Konus cards were ready for us when we arrived which was greatly appreciated. Thank you!

“Lovely stay in a quaint little village!”

Property is literally 1min from the main square so you step right out into the Christmas market and can see the advent calendar house. Property was also large, had everything you needed (host is clearly very thoughtful), including Netflix.

The apartment is spacious, comfortable and clean. The kitchen is very well equipped. Ann-Katrin promptly delivered more coffee powder when I emailed her to advise we ran out of coffee. The washing machine and a clothes drying rack are very handy to have. The location is superb in town within walking distance to the local small supermarket Edeka Thiem, restaurants, cafes and town attractions. Since there are no taxis at the railway station, it is convenient to only be a 5-10 minutes walk away as we have heavy luggage to drag.
