Overview
Located 850 metres above sea level, Lia Fjellhotell overlooks the Hardangervidda Mountain. It offers free Wi-Fi, private parking and access to excellent skiing. Central Geilo is 14 km away. All guest rooms at Fjellhotell Lia have a private bathroom with shower. Many guest rooms have views of the Hardangervidda and valley, and most have a TV. Lia Fjellhotell offers its own ski slope with ski lift. Other facilities include a sauna, a lounge with an open fireplace and a fully licensed bar. A children’s playground and a barbeque area are found in the garden. The nearby Lia Ski Centre offers both downhill and cross-country skiing, and skis/snowboards are available for hire at the hotel. Popular summer activities include hiking, fishing and canoeing. Rowing boats can be rented on site and mountain biking is popular in the area.

“Authentic hotel with amazing restaurant”
Wonderful hotel with authentic food and hospitality. The restaurant was excellent for breakfast and dinner. The room was a bit old fashioned, but we didn't mind.

“A very comfortable place surrounded by nature! A hidden gem for sky enthusiasts!”
The Breakfast was very good, everthing fresch, tasty. The room was very good, very clean, the bed are super comfortable. We were there during the summer. I can imagine it must be fabulous during the winter. The Station has a lift to the sky places. The nature around is breathtaking. The personal was also very kind and helpful.

“A good base for exploring Hallingskarvet and other natural sights.”
We had a good room with a magnificent view and parking right outside the door. Lia fjellhotel is fairly big, with a friendly staff. and seems to be a place to meet others and mingle in the vinter. We were there in the summer, when it was far from full. We found in our room a binder with suggested walking trips in the area around the hotel. Unfortunately we had already made plans and did not have time to try any of them.

The breakfast was ok : very good croissants! The fried eggs were a bit rubbery though. Good selection to choose from.

“Beautiful view from our room and good value for money.”
Our suite room had a beautiful view of the lake, a balcony and it was quiet. The evening buffet was good value, and the house wine was good as well. Buffet breakfast was plentiful.
