Overview
Only a 5-minute drive from Geelong city, Barwon Valley Lodge is set on 8 acres of relaxing parkland alongside the Barwon River. The city centre is about a short 5-minute drive away. Free Wi-Fi is available in the apartments. Barwon Valley Lodge features an outdoor swimming pool and a gas heated spa upon request. There is also a full-size tennis court for entertainment. An island adventure playground is available for kids to play. Guests can enjoy a picnic at the undercover area with the barbeque facilities provided by the property. Located on the ground floor, each apartment has a fully equipped kitchen and a washing machine with a dryer. A private patio, a flat Screen TV with DVD/CD player and an en suite bathroom are included. There are also a spacious lounge and a dining area. Free private parking is available in front of each apartment. A 15-minute walk from Belmont Shopping Centre, it only takes 7 minutes by car from Barwon Valley Lodge to Geelong Racecourse. Torquay and the famous Great Ocean Road are about 20 minutes’ drive away. It is also a 3-minute drive from Geelong Train Station and a 1-hour drive from Melbourne International Airport.

“It was a lovely short getaway in a peaceful location.”
The property was quiet and in a lovely location and I enjoyed having access to Foxtel. My grandchildren would love the duck pond and playground on the island. It is located across from a grassed area and river which is lovely to walk along. We stayed here for the football and it was an easy enjoyable walk to GMHBA stadium.

“An amazing 2 night stay, excellent location, amazing owners.”
We liked everything at the property. The owner welcomed us on the day and catered for all of our needs. It’s an amazing place to stay for families with small and older children. We particularly enjoyed the use of the tennis court and the pool (hot tub was a bonus). We wanted a place where we had the flexibility to cook a meal and the kitchen had all the essentials. Small split systems in all bedrooms and main area as well as heating. The shower had really good pressure and was clean. It’s not very modern or anything new but new enough to cater for everyday needs. We had the room with the double bed and I must say the bed was the most comfortable bed and I have stayed in many places. Thank you Jan and Bill for letting us stay at your beautiful lodge. We can’t wait for our next visit!

The staff were friendly and only too happy to help with our request for needing an extra bed so that all four of us ladies had our own bed. The gardens are beautiful, and it is on a busy road, but the apartment felt private and peaceful.
