Located 180 km from Oslo, 440 km from Gothenburg, in the heart of Telemark you will find Gausta at 1000 m altitude above Rjukan and Vestfjorddalen. 365 days a year Gausta offers world class experiences and activities – alpine skiing, trekking, biking, cross-country skiing and ice-climbing. The mountain scenery of Telemark is a spectacular experience no matter what time of year you arrive. In the wintertime Gausta offers varied skiing for the whole family, exciting and beautiful randonée-tours and advanced off-piste skiing. In the summertime, you are free to roam the mountain terrain – trekking and camping. And you can also go canoeing, mountain biking or go fishing. Right next to Gausta you will find the gate to Hardangervidda national park – Europe’s largest mountain plateau. Stay at Gaustablikk Fjellresort and experience the tranquility and fresh mountain air. Gaustablikk Fjellresort has 85 rooms and it is a short distance from Gaustatoppen and with Gausta Ski Centre as its closest neighbour. Rooms are light and inviting with comfortable double beds that can be split into two singles. Rooms are equipped with a TV and free Wi-Fi. Gaustablikk Fjellresort offers the complete product with a restaurant, a bar, a conference centre and a wellness area with a heated pool, jacuzzi, steam room and floating saunas, which need to be booked in advance. There is also free WiFi throughout the hotel. The restaurant at Gaustablikk Fjellresort serves Norwegian food in a relaxed and cozy atmosphere. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The restaurant offers a fantastic view of Gaustatoppen and has a terrace. The Gaustablikk bar welcomes every Gausta visitor with open arms and a relaxing atmosphere with a great view of Gaustatoppen. “Excellent & great value. Would go again. Not far from Rjukan so another great place to visit.”
Everything - really lovely, great room with a robe, great breakfast and nice pool. Very cosy despite being quite large. Amazing setting - and a fresh lake and sauna to enjoy. Lots of parking.

Lovely hotel, felt cosy and welcoming in the snowy weather. Great location for ski in/out. Floating sauna was fantastic. Breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I ever had.

“Amazing”
Love the interiors and the food was amazing! Great breakfast with my first iPad juice and coffee (never seen it before, súper high tech). The dinner was delicious and the staff (especially the Argentinian ones) were wonderful!

The best hotel i´ve ever stayed in. Very cosy. We had a great dining experience at the restaturant. Very large balcony with a beatiful view. We also rented a sauna on the lake. I recommend!
