“A wonderfull stay”

The cottage was so spotless, warm and cozy. One can tell there has been a lot of effort taken place to made the cottage so cozy. It is also away from the road and very peacefull. It is surrounded by mountains. It truly is a wonderfull setting. A pity there was a huge storm when we stayed. And so we were unable to explore the surrounding area. Guess we have to return!

Our stay in this little house was absolutely perfect. Everything was spotless, tidy, and well organized. The place had all the basic essentials we needed to cook and enjoy our meals during the stay. The owner was extremely attentive and kind at all times, making sure we felt welcome. We had no problems whatsoever. What we loved most was the sense of peace and tranquility we found here – the perfect escape from the noise, stress, and demands of everyday life. We truly felt we could relax and disconnect. Highly recommended, and we will definitely come back if we return to Iceland!

Absolutely dreamy place, in the middle of nothing, only nature and away from everyone. Super clean and modern cabin. We immediately felt so comfortable and welcomed. Amazing kitchen, shower and bed was heavenly! Super easy arrival and easy to find. Beautiful sunrise right from the bed in the morning and the northern lights in the evening. We would come any time back, it was our favorite place during our 10 days trip around the Iceland.

This place is an epitome of comfort, it just can’t be better in such surroundings (in the middle of Icelandic nature). Beautifully designed, well-maintained-we enjoyed every minute of our stay

This was such a lovely place! The cabins were comfy, modern and in a great location with big views. It was only a few minutes drive to the small supermarket and cafe as well as the Visitor Centre. The host was friendly and helpful.

Really comfortable. Easy to find and access. Parking outside. Good bed and shower. Warm. Beautiful view. Good host information in advance. Wifi worked well. I checked in advance as wifi was very important for me and it had been upgraded.

Lovely cabin in a beautiful location. Well furnished / appointed with everything you need for your stay. Small but well designed so it's comfortable and functional. Great views from the cabin, feels like it is the middle of nature, but with great access to some of the best of what north Iceland has to offer nearby.

This is one of our favorite guesthouses during the entire trip! beautifully decorated and modern interior, everything looks new and fresh (except for the flooring which I think got damaged over time); well fitted kitchen with a dishwasher is a highlight for sure for people like me who enjoys cooking; a friendly host who took the effort to offer us a small souvenir upon check-in; romantic floor-to-ceiling windows providing a 120 degree view on the Asbyrgi valley

“if you can stay for 2+ nights in asbyrgi, this is the perfect place”

i know i booked thru a loophole, a possible mistake, a break in the space-time continuum, so i was lucky. usually you have to book at least 2 consecutive nights, and when i saw 1 night was possible a year in advance, i booked it, even tho it was nonrefundable, even before i bought plane tickets. i had seen this place last yr when traveling, and the location literally in asbyrgi is perfect. even with the f roads closed (still in mid-june this year), there's so much to do in the area, and there's very few places to stay within an hr's drive, esp quality places. my own cabin, complete quiet, perfect heating (this annoying american understands that the preference of being able to turn on heat only as needed means electric, whereas geothermal means you can't turn it off). they really have thought of everything in this 25 m2, with the pull hooks for coats, utensils drawer in the table, light switches near the bed, etc.
