Overview
Situated in the stunning Overberg region, close to the village of Gansbaai, this lodge radiates an intimate atmosphere and boasts beautiful views of Walker Bay. This ocean side lodge offers free Wifi access. Just a short drive from Hermanus, Whalesong Lodge makes the most of its beach front location. Wake up to the sound of rolling waves. Large glass windows enable you to watch passing whales while resting on your bed. A variety of activities can be enjoyed in the surroundings, these include hiking on the nearby cliffs and horse riding.

“Exceptional stay with warm hospitality”
We had a wonderful stay in the Milkwood House at Whalesong Lodge. Antje and her team were absolutely amazing, warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. The house was perfect for our family. It is beautifully equipped with everything you could possibly need, making it feel like a true home away from home. The space is comfortable, well designed, and ideal for relaxing together as a family. The highlight was definitely the stunning sea view. Waking up to such beautiful scenery made our stay extra special. We would highly recommend Milkwood House and would gladly stay here again.

“Paradise at the ocean”
Super location with breath taking views. One can do cliff walks straight from the property. Antje and Gary are super hosts with a very friendly staff. One of the highlights of our trip!

For me it's not 10.. it's 11. All perfect. Breathtaking view from the house. Directly to the ocean. The staff was perfect. The breakfast is really really good. It's perfectly clean and maintained. Private parking in front of the house.

Back to this magic place after 20 years! Antje and the staff are super kind and friendly, the location is breathtaking and the lodge is wonderful, the breakfast is delicious and very, very rich! Yoda is the king of the place! Only one comment: FANTASTIC!
