Beautiful grounds. Common room was looking lovely. Good location..

The Wisteria Guest House was nestled amongst beautiful gardens. My studio suite was cozy and had all the amenities I needed. Heated floors in the bathroom was a nice surprise. The common lounge held books, puzzles, coffee and tea, plus homemade cookies from the owners wife. Only two minutes away from the hub of downtown Ganges but still feeling like a quiet oasis. Oh and Steve the cat is the official greeter!

What did I think of the breakfast???? What breakfast? Overall, the room itself was OK, kinda cramped but about what we expected. Bed was fine, no problem there. Bathroom and shower were also decent. The big bonus was the space where all guests could gather - it was excellent!! I loved the huge book collection - even some good science fiction books (though only about 8 or 9 of them, out of what must have been a couple thousand books). The partly finished picture puzzle was a nice touch. I quite liked the background music (classical) also. The ground were also very nice, including the big red camellia bush/tree right outside our door (see attached pic).

Super cute and well-appointed accommodations. Rooms have all the basic necessities, but the shared space has tons of books, puzzles, and items to peruse - a very charming spot! Loved that there's water (hot and cold), tea, coffee, etc available.

This was our second stay. The place is homey, quiet, clean and has such a relaxing vibe. Love the main room with its walls of books, comfy seating, quiet music, tea and coffee bar and homemade cookies - the perfect place to read and relax in the afternoon (affectionate visits from Steve the Cat add to the ambience!) The absence of TVs, pools, gyms, ice machines, etc., is exactly why we like it here. The location is perfect - walking distance from Ganges. We will be back - again!

“Magical stay at homely and beautiful guest house!”

We had an incredibly memorable and pleasant stay at Wisteria Guest house whilst visiting Salt Spring Island. The host Len was extremely accommodating throughout our stay, and responded immediately to any queries we had. The property itself is beautiful, expertly decorated with stunning artwork and beautiful furniture. Free homemade cookies were an extra tasty bonus! The rooms are very clean and spacious, we even had a mini fridge. The guest house is about a 15 minute walk into town so it is best to have a car to explore more that the island has to offer. But does mean it is perfectly relaxing and quiet place to rest. Our only complaint was that our stay was so short! If we ever returns to salt spring island, we will absolutely be staying at Wisteria Guest House. Also Steve the cat is cute.

Spotlessly clean and tasteful decor. Cottage had everything we needed. The communal area was quirky and tastefully designed, full of interesting artefacts, books, games and artworks.

A very comfortable and restorative place to stay. Loved the cat... have been missing my own. Nice welcoming touch having the cookies and home grown fruit on offer along with tea and coffee making facilities in the spacious lounge. Thoughtful decor... homely but tasteful. Peaceful garden surroundings.

Beautifully furnished with antiques but also quirky. Very comfy bed. Lovely facilities & gardens. Short walk to town.

It had a unique, warm, and welcoming vibe. Loved the location, just off the beaten path, and was close enough to get to everything in a short walk. I enjoyed reading in the evenings in the main salon whilst cuddling with the cat (Steve).
