This privately run, 4-star hotel in Gangelt’s Medieval town centre offers rooms with a modern interior, indoor swimming pool and excellent spa facilities. The Dutch border is a 5-minute drive away. Each stylish, soundproofed room at the Mercator-Hotel features a relaxing seating area with satellite TV, electric kettle and minibar. All have free wired internet. A freshly prepared buffet breakfast, Rhineland specialities are served in the Mercator’s bright, spacious restaurant with ceiling-high windows. Guests can also take a drink in the wine cellar and the property offers a selection of vegan dishes. Guests can spend time in the hot tub, relax in the sauna, or book a soothing massage. The sun terrace can be enjoyed in good weather. The spa area is closed on Sundays and Mondays. The historic city of Aachen is 35 km away. “Really enjoyed our stay and we got great value for our money.”
Secluded in a small village on the Dutch German border. Very quiet, tranquil place. The breakfast is excellent. Bedrooms, bathrooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. Staff smile and are engaging. Highly recommend this place.

Loved the location, the hot tub and pool. Breakfast was great. Was given a fan our last night due to weather, definitely could have used it the entire time.

“A very comfortable stay near to Geilenkirchen Air Base.”
The rooms are really nice and spacious. The shower was great. Plenty of parking. The restaurant was very good. They were short staffed due to illnesses, yet the 2 guys there, Daniel & Eugene, did a tremendous job! Wonderful food!

“Wonderful hotel which is value for the cost”
The small town has a number of restaurants to give a choice if you do not want to dine in the hotel. The rooms are spacious, clean and beds are very comfortable. The staff are very firndly and extreamly accomodating.

Lovely hotel with a lovely pool area complete with jazuzzi, sauna etc. The room was spacious, clean, fridge and super shower! I enjoyed the restaurant whereby dining alone did not feel uncomfortable as all the staff were so friendly, polite and helpful. I was very impressed that the staff spoke multiple languages & really spent time with the guests to get to know them. It felt personal and welcoming despite only being there for one night. I will definitely like to return to spend more time here.

Very comfortable hotel in the village of Gangelt; delicious meals at restaurant on the ground floor, as well as in the nearby at least 3 spots are very close; free parking and a power station for e-cars; free wifi into the room; continental breakfast included; professional staff
