The house is very beautiful and quiet and we loved the window roof of our bathroom. We also loved very much the pool overlooking some palm trees. The food although pricey (you should definitely book directly the half board) was delicious.

We stayed at Comilla Bungalow for 3 nights to relax after a long flight. It is 21 miles from the airport and nicely off the tourist trail. We absolutely loved it and will book it again before we fly home. The house is just lovely and we felt so welcomed by the staff. It feels like a very smart homestay. Absolutely delicious food and the garden birds - wow, just amazing. The perfect place if you just want to stay put and relax for a day or more :)

“A lovely way to end our trip - cozy and secluded”

The property is completely secluded and the grounds are beautiful. Our room was spacious, clean and the bathroom was completely unique! They have a lovely pool and lounge area where you can relax and play games. Our dinner was delicious and they catered for a vegan diet very well. I also wanted to point out the exceptional staff; while my partner and I were staying he managed to cut his hand on a glass, one of the members of staff helped dress the wound and without hesitation went with us in a tuk tuk to a local medical centre to get it checked out and pick up some medication. He was so helpful and we cant thank the staff enough for their help!

This was our first accommodation in Sri Lanka and turned out to be one of the best. The bungalows are set in the grounds of a nineteenth century dutch estate, well away from the roads and in an open wooded / forest location. The bungalows were very well decorated and the host was so kind and attentive. We were even provided with a cake to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Breakfast and dinner (we took the half board option) were excellent and plentiful. The entry hall, lounge and dining area of the main building were beautifully furnished.

A truly wonderful hotel nestled in nature. The spacious, immaculate rooms, the infinity pool seamlessly blending into the natural surroundings, and above all, the incredibly kind and hospitable staff made our stay unforgettable. Our stay was perfect! The spacious bungalow was clean en beautiful. It is located in a tropical garden with many birds. The pool is beautiful! It is close to a small village where the people are curious and super friendly. We walked to do some shoppings. It is not a touristic area and that is what we loved. The food was also really good! The staff helped us to arrange a drivers to bring us to the next stop. He recommended some sightseeing and our visit to temples was great! No tourists and we were invited for a tea by a monk!

We had a magnificent stay at Comilla Bungalow. The staff went out of their way to make us feel looked after, the home cooked meals were delicious, the house is beautifully decorated as if in an old coconut plantation house in the 18th century and the bedrooms are spacious and the grounds and swimming pool absolutely beautiful! The birdlife on the property was also incredible.
