Location is excellent - right in the rain forest with wonderful views out over the Rio Chagres. Cavernous room. Tasty food in the restaurant.

Fantastic place in the jungle of Panama. The room was really big, and spotless clean. The staff (even though they all speak very little English) was very attentive and helpful at any time. The room overlooked the river and on the terrace was a hammock. The food and drinks were delicious. And the pool is huge. Also there is a pool bar, serving great cocktails while at the pool. The hotel offers excursions of which the monkey island tour I can highly recommend!

“Gamboa Rainforest Lodge!”
The vistas, the gardens, the food was exceptional! Gamboa, a rainforest, a historic establishment, at the confluence of the Chagres River and the Panama Canal, inside Soberanía National Park, a gem! Early morning, explore the Panamanian rainforest from the aerial tramway, climb a 10-story observation tower, accessible to all, admire the vistas. Meet the fascinating sloths at the sanctuary, visit the vivariums filled with butterflies and tiny poisonous frogs! The air is heavy, a thunderstorm looms!

“Beautiful nature hotel in the middle of the rainforest”
The location was a dream with beautiful rainforest and lake views. Birds singing all the time. Also the room was large and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good.

The view from the lobby is breath-taking, the location is very good within the park. There are a lot of birds and animals around, we have seen a Sloth, Caiman, iguanas and a small capibara. the rooms are very big with good view.

The location is just wonderful and at night the sounds of the rainforest are so peaceful! We did the boat trip along the canal to monkey island and loved it - 100% recommend and guide was great. Would also recommend a walk into the local village the people were very friendly. The pool is large and enjoyable although a bit dated.

Stunning location, food was delicious, drinks were strong. Staff were attentive, polite, and helpful. Pool was nice, large but a bit dated and run down. Tours were fun. Bed very comfortable.

“Worth it to stay in a relaxing place.”
This is basically the only place to stay in the area and we really enjoyed our time in the rainforest so we enjoyed it for that. The rooms were clean and the property was well maintained. Food was pretty good at the buffet and this is pretty much your only food option in the area so it is worth taking advantage of any meal options as you will likely eat at least 2 meals a day here - there were plenty of healthy options at the buffet and honestly we were pleasantly surprised after reading some of the previous reviews, the food was fine. We stayed 3 nights and we are happy that we did.
