the property is so full of character, yet manages to provide accommodation that is equivalent, or better, than many hotel chains. The setting around the courtyard was stunning and was close to the Fort itself and the shops/restaurants in the area. The evening we had a meal at the property we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of that also.

Fantastic location in Galle Fort. Rooms were great and the staff were super friendly / accomodating of every request. The real highlight was the quality of the food! Will be back to stay again

“Fantastic Stay in Galle”
We had a great stay at Yara Galle Fort. The hotel is perfectly placed to explore the fort and Galle. The staff were fantastic and made our stay all the more pleasurable. The food was excellent - we loved the breakfast, and the cake in our room for our honeymoon!

“Lovely stay at the Yara Galle Fort”
Great location. Beautiful building with a lovely central courtyard, trees and seating. Breakfast was delicious- I had the traditional Sti Lankan breakfast which was plentiful and tasty, one of the best I’ve had here. Loved the room- tastefully decorated and furnished. Very comfortable bed. It felt very special being there. Staff are lovely. Really helpful.

“Beautiful boutique place to stay in Galle Fort”
We stayed for just one night as a family of 4 at Yara Galle Fort. Our first impressions were that it is an incredible building which has been converted with the utmost care and consideration. We stayed in two separate rooms. The rooms were enormous, spacious and really tastefully decorated. We loved the attention to detail, especially the stunning antique necklaces framed above the beds! The bedding was lovely with crisp linens, soft dreamlike pillows and big fluffy towels! The showers were great too as were the complimentary toiletries in the cool bathrooms. The hotel also has really nice communal areas which just add to the boutique feeling. But the standout for us were the staff, especially Sagara and Nawodya who were always so super friendly and attentive (and helped us with our many bags!). The waiting staff in the restaurant were also really lovely and made us feel so welcome! We only ate breakfast in the restaurant and opted for the Sri Lankan breakfast which was delicious and filling! Would highly recommend and hope to return!
