We had a clean and neat room with the private pool and it was great bathing on top of the trees (we saw some monkeys). Malik is a nice host. As the property is situated away from shops/restaurants, an external mean of transport is necessary.

The room we had was upstairs with a small pool - watching monkeys and birds in the trees was just amazing. Loved the pool in the dark listening to the jungle. Mikel was a chatter box who just wanted to spoil his guests - home made Sri Lankan breakfasts, fruits, water and the odd smoothie. He also let us try his aruveydic oils.

One of our favourite stays during our month-long trip to Sri Lanka! The room was very spacious, well-equipped, and the private pool was an absolute highlight! Also worth mentioning how comfortable the bed was!! As someone who struggles to fall and stay asleep, this was one of the only few places where I slept like a baby all night!! Also just like other reviews have said, Malik’s hospitality truly made this stay unforgettable. He’s such a friendly, bubbly happy guy and made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived! On top of that, this was by far the best value for money place we stayed during our trip. We couldn’t have been happier with our experience!

The property is in the middle of a jungle so there's a lot of nature. The back patio goes into the deep jungle spreading miles after the house. The bed has a mosquito curtain which I found very useful. The room itself is big and cozy with a high ceiling. You get a ceiling fan and an AC although because of the nature the area is cool enough. You get a breakfast and you can do your laundry right here.

Great place in the nature, yet close to Galle by tuktuk. I truky enjoy the calm and peace of this place and had my best sleep! The room was amazing and so well designed!! Malik was amazing all the way and was really attentive to any requests. Definitely recommend this place 100%!

The place is very calm and well-suited for those who like to relax in a greeny kozy environment. Host is also very friendly and supportive.

Unbelievably good for the price. The pool villa basically offers the value of a $100 stay. The owner is amazing, great human being, didn’t take full amount as we had to checkout late night because of our flight. The pool was very clean, property is like a farmhouse. We enjoyed our stay very much even though it was a very short one.

This a great little secret hotel a little way out of town but easily accessible by tuktuk (use uber to avoid the endless discussions over price and location.) You stay in your personal cabin in a pleasant leafy setting with tiny lizards and morning songbirds in a garden with a nice pool nearby. Malik is a delightful attentive host who likes a chat but is not in the least offended if you tell him it's time to go sightseeing. A great place to stay to escape the crazy expensive (even depressing) tourist trap of the Fort. We would definitely stay again.

“Wonderful alternative to the busy city”

Large and clean cabana-like room, tastefully decorated. Enough room for a coffee table with Benches and plenty of space for the luggage. Comfortable, large bed with well designed mosquito net (the little buggers don’t come until dusk and aren’t a problem if you keep the doors closed at that time). Good curtains to keep the room dark for sleeping. Very smart bathroom solution, the best ever had so far ever: separate rooms for the shower and the toilet, with the sink in the main room. Nice setting on the well kept, walled-in property, almost feels like a mangrove forest. Fairly large pool. Makes you forget you’re close to a bustling city. Not too hard to reach, just 400 m drivable dirt road from a main road. Malik, the owner, is very friendly and communicated promptly via the app or WhatsApp. Breakfast is prepared to your liking and just the right amount so nothing is wasted. AC, fan, TV, hairdryer, coffee/tea maker, toiletries and even an international converter plug… everything you need!

The room with the private pool is killing it. Very helpful staff.

“Fantastic room, best value, very comfortable”

At first we weren’t sure we were in the right place but what a find! The pool is a decent size, in a quiet, private location, surrounded by trees and plenty of birds. You might see the odd monitor cruising around. The rooms are modern, very generous in size, separate toilet from shower (the only one we have had like this) immaculately clean, plenty of hot water and with all the little extras. The TV has English channels and plenty of them. We were very excited to get upgraded to the room with the private pool. We had generous lovely breakfast, ready available water and our wonderful host would sometimes provide local snacks or juices. The hospitality was the best we have had and with excellent accommodation, it made up for being a short distance from town. We would highly recommend and will definitely return to stay. “Excellent”

This was one of our nicest stays in Sri Lanka. The owner Malik, takes pride in his business and is very accommodating and attentive to his guests. The room was large with a good aircon and fan. Lovely big bed with a very comfortable mattress and pillows and also had a mosquito net. Hot shower and a private back balcony with a view into the mangroves. Off street lock up parking and the property has a pool also! We very much enjoyed our stay, and would have extended if we weren't leaving the country.

Amazing place! The most comfortable bed ever! I think that was the best stay in Sri Lanka for me. If you have a bike is great place to travel around up and down cost and have an amazing rest point in Gady Villa. High quality designer rooms and nice swimming pool :) we have also very delicious breakfast and barbecue :)

The best accommodation we had in Sri Lanka. The owner takes great care of the whole area and has big plans. He was very nice to us. He made us a Sri Lankan breakfast and cut up a lot of fruit for the trip. We got a better room with a private pool. We also used the second large pool and both were clean. The location is a bit far from the sea and the city, but since we had a car, we didn't mind at all. If we had more time, we would have easily spent more days.
