The most wonderful homestay with the loveliest of families. Aroshina and her family were so welcoming and kind. The room was clean and so comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, all within 1 KM of the Fort. Would highly recommend!

Design and comfort, beautifully furnished with antiques and plants everywhere. Lovely common areas and all the comforts of being at home. Very peaceful and quiet at night. A little oasis out of the city. Aroshina is a phenomenal and welcoming host, she was so warm and helpful and nothing was too much of an ask. Her cooking class was fantastic too. Her husband Manju took us to many places in his tuktuk including to run errands and also to a few cultural places we didn’t know about like a weaving factory. If you want to have a really genuine experience in Sri Lanka and truly connect with people you will love it here! Words can’t even explain how wonderful it is, you just have to experience it for yourself!

Incredible stay and unforgettable cooking experience!!! We had such a lovely stay at Aroshina’s villa in Galle. Aroshina and her beautiful family were so welcoming. The room was super clean and comfortable. Air conditioning, a hot shower, and mosquito net over the bed was everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The cooking class was honestly one of the best things we’ve done in Sri Lanka. IT IS A MUST! Aroshina made us feel so welcome from the start. We began with a big platter of fresh vegetables, herbs, spices and chicken, and she guided us through preparing everything ourselves. It was completely hands on and everything was made from scratch. By the end we had made 16 different dishes!!! And every single one of them was AMAZING !!! If you’re staying in Galle, definitely don’t miss the cooking class. “Amazing stay with great hosts.”

We really enjoyed our time in this cute family-run accomodation. Aroshina and her husband did everything they could to make it a pleasant stay for us. The food is amazing and they even picked us up from the train station and waved down the correct bus for a next leg of the journey. Would definitely recommend, including the cooking class 💛.

Aroshina is a hard working family lady and a great chef. We were welcomed into her family home and the accommodation was basic and perfect for a one or two night stay. The cooking class was very informative, interesting, inclusive and we were able to enjoy a great 'not too spicy' variety of curries. Some local ingredients and things we have never tasted before. The cooking class is priced at USD 35 per person, so factor that into your budget. Overall, it was our only experience of real family Sri Lankan life and Aroshina could not have done more to make our stay a night to remember. I would encourage anyone to give this place a try and also help support a Sri Lankan family.

You have shared so many stories about yourself and local people from Sri Lanka. A strong woman who always treat us like family deserves the highest respect!!! Also mother’s great assistant Dulani haha(thanks for the creative card and flowers), you are such a wonderful girl! also thanks for staying up late with us together! Manju, our friend took us to hang out around city and everywhere we wanted to visit! Always friendly to share everything and recommend local things. We enjoyed our time eating lunch together at the local restaurant. Our Sri Lankan family is the best, please come for Villa Aroshina if you have the chance to visit Galle!!!

I had a wonderful stay with this family and truly felt like I was part of it. From the very first moment I was welcomed with so much warmth and kindness. If you are looking for an authentic place and a real local experience, this is exactly where you should stay. The cooking class was absolutely unique and everything was incredibly delicious. If you love authentic Sri Lankan food and want to learn how locals really cook and eat, this is the place to be. The breakfast was also amazing – very local, fresh, and prepared with so much care. The whole family is incredibly kind and helpful. The husband even drove me everywhere I wanted to go and patiently waited until I was done, which made everything so easy and relaxed for me. I can truly recommend this place to anyone who wants to really get to know Sri Lanka, not just as a tourist but with heart. It was a beautiful and memorable experience.

It was an authentic family experience. It was a comfortable stay and it was amazing, great food and local people and experience.

The family were so friendly and very accommodating to all our needs The cooking class was so much fun and we made lots of tasty food with lots of flavours that we have not tasted before.

“Sincere and lovely family”

This was our first stop on our journey through Sri Lanka. What we liked most here was that, since we are new to the culture, we felt instantly welcomed and integrated into Arosha's family. She and her husband were lovely hosts, who did everything to make our stay as comfortable as it could be. The rooms were nicely equipped and clean, and to mention the little sweet balcony to relax! Arosha served us tasty, local food for breakfast. Moreover, we got taught to prepare different curries during her cooking class, which was much fun and another highlight. Thank you Arosha and your family for your hard work and hope to see you soon again :-)

“Pleasant home stay”

I would recommend this B&B for those, who are seeking for cooking classes, pleasant companion for a discussion, home stay and distanced city hustle. My request to serve breakfast at 7 was considered and fulfilled. I liked the breakfast! Aroshina is a nice person, who accompanied my solo breakfast and chatted with me for 20 minutes.

“Perfect overnight stay in a beautiful property!”

Beautiful property and lovely hosts. Aroshina is very inspiring and we felt welcome immediately, finding space for our bikes and getting us a cold drink! Breakfast was delicious, unfortunately we arrived too late for the cooking class but it looked and smelt amazing!

Aroshina and her Husband help with making the most of your trip. They also offer driving services with their tuk-tuk and the breakfast is delicious!

Friendliness and helpfulness of host. Very clean accommodation with very cold AC. Also, host has a tuk tuk and happy to take you to local areas of interest (extra charge).
