We had an amazing time in Villa Ali. The comfortable room with hot shower, the delicious food and the relaxing friendly atmosphere Rohan and his team created made us feel really at home.

The stay was absolutely fantastic. The room was immaculate, breakfasts were very generous and super yummy, and the staff did whatever they could to make things comfortable and help with whatever they could.

“Sri Lankan Paradise”

Villa Ali is a real oasis in Sri Lanka. Host Rohan and his lovely family provided a high level of care and love every day. My wife and I stayed at the villa for almost a month and it was a wonderful time. The villa area is very beautiful and clean, it was a pleasure to be there. Every morning I went surfing on Dewata Beach. The road takes about 7-10 minutes by bike. It is about the same to the restaurant street of Unawatuna. There is a swimming pool on the second part of the villa - we swam there when we got tired of the crowded beaches. There is also a big puppy Dora living at the villa, who gave us incredible emotions throughout our stay. Rohan also invited us to celebrate the New Year with his family and friends that was really cute and touching. It was so sad to leave. The best homestay in Sri Lanka. I highly recommend Villa Ali.

Impeccably clean rooms, tranquil surroundings, and just a 10-minute walk to Unawatuna beach make this accommodation a top choice. Breakfast was delicious too. Highly recommended for a peaceful stay near the beach. One of the best accommodation in my 3 month holiday in SE Asia, I highly recommend it. The owner gave us good insides about the places in Galle

“Villa in the jungle”

Rohan was very welcoming and helpful all along our stay. The room and bathroom were very well equipped and modern, and perfectly clean. The atmosphere at the villa with the beautiful garden is really chill. The singing of all the birds makes it even more enjoyable - but watch out they start early 😊. Thank you again for everything !

“Relaxing and peaceful stay”

We had a warmly welcome by Rohan and his family with a fresh and tasty fruit juice. Rohan and his family were helpful. There is always someone at the guesthouse. The breakfast is good. For our last dinner Rohan cooked a delicious seafood dish. The room is comfortable, cozy, colourful with hot water shower and A/C. The garden is colourful, peaceful and relaxing with birds, squirrels, monkeys and iguanas. It is good to be in a quiet environment. Less than 5km from the city center. Possibility to rent a motorbike and book a Tuk Tuk.

“Place of tranquility near Unawatuna & Galle”

Very nice family-run place. Helped with organising a scooter and made us dinner when rain prevented us from leaving the premises. Lovely peaceful garden with a hammock. Great breakfast, good coffee :-)

“Great quiet place, Rohan is also an outstanding chef!”

Rohan is a very helpful and resourceful host. We asked for a last minute improvised dinner and, to our shock, we had the best Sri Lankan dinner of our stay. Rohan also organised our pcr testing before leaving, and it has been a breeze. Talking about the place, it's just lovely and very clean, being outside the city is also very quiet (we had some of the best sleep).
