This place really is like a secret Palace, with its high ceilings, sturdy staircase and large galant rooms with enormous , comfortable beds . It is, however, quite run down and needs a bit of TLC , but it's location is worth gold , right in the old centre, quietly tucked away in a time warped alley . I really enjoyed my stay here ,like going back in time. Highly recommend it for a perfect , no frills stay in a perfect location.

The location was okay. The building was vintage type but due to poor maintenance it is ruined.

“Best place to stay in Galle for location and value for money”
Fantastic location down a small alley - only 1 street away from Pedlar street( many restaurants/ bars/shops) and a few minutes walk to the lighthouse yet it was so quiet. 10/12 minutes tuk tuk ride to Unawatuna beach and5 minutes to the railway station. Room was quite small but was clean and bed was comfortable. There was a small balcony- not much of a view but was sunny in the morning. Host was friendly and rang to find out train times for us. Would definitely stay here again

“Home away from home”
The location is a family run place that gives you a "feel safe at home" kind of feeling. Perfect for single travellers. The room was super clean and the bathroom was also superb.
