Unawatuna Beach is a 10-minute drive away while Hikkaduwa town is a 25-minute drive from Rampart View Guesthouse. It takes 1.5 hours to drive from Colombo via the Southern expressway. All rooms come with a desk and mosquito net. Private bathroom includes a hot shower and toilet. Sunset and sunrise views can be enjoyed from the guesthouse, which has a terrace where guests can sun bathe. Other facilities include a tour desk, shops in hotel and laundry. “Don't book!”
The location was the only good with this hotel and that fact together with guest reviews and pic's on Booking.com site made us to do the reservation.

“A balcony with a real view!”
The staff are ever helpful and pleasant, the room was simple but comfortable. The location is utterly fabulous. Sitting on our balcony watching everything going on down on the street and up on the ramparts was the highlight of our stay in Galle and that was without the roof. We sat on a bench on the roof to watch the sunset and waved and interacted with so many other people it was the best part of the day.

Location amazing, you literally couldn't be in a better spot. Also good parking for a tuktuk. View also great, could hear the waves at night. Staff also very nice and welcoming. AC was fully functional.

“Bad Experience at Rampart View Guesthouse”
Rampart View Guesthouse has a perfect location overlooking the Rampart itself and the sea. That was a plus But the owner is not making good use of that.

“Great location and view with some charming imperfections”
The staff is exceptionally kind and welcoming. The view is truly beautiful, with a charming panorama from the balcony and an even more stunning one from the upper terrace. The location is excellent, close to the main attractions in Galle while still offering a peaceful atmosphere.

“Great, central location with a fantastic view from the porch”
Great location and that is what you are paying for. The porch with seats outside the room is perfect gor reading or watching the ocean or the people. Do expect a bit of noise but is normal for such a central location.
