An absolute must-stay! I was welcomed with fresh lemon juice and then given a tour in the beautiful garden. Pinidu truly takes his time, shares lots of stories, and provides great recommendations for the surrounding area. He also helped me plan my public transport connections, even for the next destinations on my trip. In the evening, you can see fireflies in the garden, which makes the place feel even more magical. The breakfast was delicious as well, made with many fresh ingredients straight from the garden. Highly recommended!

Pinidu was the best host I could wish for. He helped me with everything and made my stay unforgetable. He even woke up at 05:00 to be able help me catch an early bus. Also his hostel is located on 6 acres of beautiful terrain with a lot of different animals. This really the ideal basis to discover Galle from.

Really lovely host, I would 100% recommend anyone to stay at this hostel. Pinidu made an amazing breakfast for us each morning and we were greeted with homemade lemon juice. Such an amazing property.

The overall property is beautiful, it’s a heritage home. Really well maintained. The dorm was pretty clean and cozy, special callout for the host - Pinidu. Really welcoming, greeted me with a refreshing drink and helped me with travel suggestions as well.

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed at so far. Pinidu is an amazing host who always makes sure you have an amazing stay. He also makes an amazing breakfast! His garden is beautiful, and the location is close to all the things in Galle. Overal, I very much enjoyed my stay and would stay there again.

Everywhere was spotlessly clean ~ bathroom, bed, common areas. The grounds are awesome with many beautiful trees. The host Pinidu has lots of information and is kind & patient & generous with his time.

Amazing place, with a huge garden. The owner will guide you through the different spices and fruits that are in this garden. Also, he is happy to help you with suggestions about sightseeing and transport! Come here if you like calm, but still enjoy a nice conversation at the end of your day. Amazing Sri Lankan breakfasts and dinners! Among the best I have ever eaten in my trip :)

“Exceptional”

I stayed at Pinidu's hostel for a total of 4 nights. It is easily among the best hostel experiences I have ever had (having stayed at more than 40 in the past few years...). The room/bed/bathroom is spotless. The hosts are extremely attentive to detail- gave me tour of the garden and recommendations about where to visit. Above all, I must say that Pinidu is an exceptional human being. After I left the hostel, I had a medical emergency and contacted him for advice. He exchanged with people he knew and sent a friend to the hospital to personally make an appointment for me as I returned to the city. I stayed again at his place for two more nights while I did more tests, during which he was extremely supportive and sought to help me be comfortable. I cannot recommend this place enough. Especially for people who like a calm environment in nature. Peace from Canada <3

“Perfect stay”

The host was really nice and gave me lots of advices on what to do.

The garden is incredible. It feels like you are in the jungle but you are actually 3-5 minutes tuc tuc (0.6€) away from the beach and Galle fort. If I am back in the city this will be my hostal again.

We stayed one night in the old parkland hostel. It’s a beautiful house and an astonishing garden behind the house. The host is very friendly and tries to do everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. If you stay at the old parkland hostel and they offer you to take dinner and or breakfast, seizes the opportunity!! It’s extraordinary. Very delicious traditional food, cooked fresh with the vegetables and fruits from the own garden.

Very clean facilities and had everything a traveler needed to be comfortable. Pinidu was very welcoming and offered home cooked traditional meals.
