“Wonderful, quiet location, in the middle of Galle Fort”

Wonderful, quiet location, in the middle of Galle Fort, a short walk to everything. There are 2x double bedrooms, 1 with ensuite, the other is attached to a single bedroom and an odd mezzanine space that was too hot to use. Upstairs is a small, basic kitchen, a second bathroom, a small dining room and a big balcony. Queen bedrooms have aircon and fans, single room only a fan.

Large bedrooms with comfortable beds. House is clean & very centrally located, yet in a very quiet backstreet, which I really appreciated. It was good to have a kitchen with a kettle and a fridge. There was hot water and good pressure, as well as air con. Happy with my stay, it's a great value for money

We liked the location of this apartment, in the fort on a quiet street. Was a bit hard to find, but once we knew what to look for it was easy to return to. The bedrooms were spacious with comfortable beds and AC. There was a simple kitchen and a porch with a view of the neighbours. We appreciated having the washing machine and drying rack. Overall a comfortable base to explore Galle Fort.

“Terrific apartment in fantastic location”

Wonderful apartment in the most amazing location, in the middle of Galle fort. Short walk to everything, incredibly central. A couple of the host's workers met us at the apartment when we arrived at night to let us in and give us the key. We were able to pay by card, which was unusual and much appreciated! Despite being so central, and there being bars and locks on the windows and doors, we found it very safe, quiet and a cool oasis. Host was a very good communicator and gave us excellent restaurant tips (we HIGHLY recommend VOC for all of the fish dishes, the chef is truly gifted!!). Architecture was colonial and interesting, we wondered if it was 2 apartments/houses originally. There are two main (queen) bedrooms. One has an ensuite, the other is attached to another, smaller (single) bedroom and an odd, empty mezzanine space (for yoga?). Upstairs is a tiny kitchenette, a second (smaller) bathroom, a small dining room with fridge, and a decent sized balcony. The apartment itself is very clean and comfortable. Bathrooms had decent water pressure. Bedrooms have aircon and fans. Upstairs has aircon. There is a washing machine and drying rack, which was a godsend after 12 days on the road! Very basic kitchenette is adequate for making a cup of tea or a bowl of fruit salad, but probably nothing more adventurous than that.
