“Great value for money”
Mamma Shirani will take care of all her guests. She helped me booking the bus to Negombo and the tuktuk when it started raining heavily. You can also ask her for food (breakfast, lunch and/or dinner). The facilities were very comfortable

“Left feeling like I had had a slice of home”
Mama treated us like family, giving a cooking class, advice on transport and treating all our ailments we had picked up! The bathroom in our dorm room was also amazing and even had a bath.

The owners are extremly friendly and hospitable. They will do their best to make your stay pleasant. You'll feel like at home. I arrived late but Shirane made a delicious dinner with local dishes just for me. Furthermore they let me take a shower lending a clean towel even I'd done the check out hours ago. The facilities are simple but everything it's clean and comfortable. Wifi runs well in the common area. It's the cheapest place close to the fort. The breakfast it's included. So gooood value for money! 100% recommended.

The stay at Jungle Lodge was very nice. The AC in the room was working perfectly, bed was clean and comfortable for two people. The bathroom was shared and nice. There was soap and toilet paper. We really enjoyed the contact with our host family - they were super helpful and we had the luck to cook a Sri Lankan meal with them one night which was just awesome - delicious food, so many things to learn about Sri Lankan food. We would definitely stay here again. The Location is very good - 5 minutes from train station and bus station. Walking distance to Fort etc. but quiet at night - just some dogs barking. In front of the room are sitting options on the Terrasse.

“Authenticity and hospitality at its best”
It was an amazingly beautiful stay with this very hospitable Sri Lankan family. I was allowed to have an authentic look into some of the family life. But the room also provided the privacy and cleanliness one would expect. So in total I am really happy to have stayed there and might return!!
