“Special Place”
A very special place to stay with a very nice family. Highly recommended. Walk on to the beach from the backyard. Walk along the beach inlow season and have it almost all to yourself.

I had a fantastic time at this homestay. The location is perfect—just a few steps away from the beach, which made my stay so convenient. The house is spotlessly clean and having access to the kitchen was a huge plus. The highlight of my stay was definitely the hospitality. Dilini, the daughter of the owners, is an amazing girl—so down-to-earth, friendly, and always available to help with a smile. The whole family is incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a genuine and comfortable experience in Sri Lanka!

“Everything was clean and comfortable”
We had a very pleasant stay at this homestay. The location is perfect - just steps from a quiet, beautiful beach. Our host, Dilini, was kind and helpful. She serves tasty, authentic Sri Lankan meals at a very reasonable price. She can also arrange an affordable scooter rental if you'd like to explore the area. Everything was clean and comfortable. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a simple, friendly, and well-located place to stay

“Book this home stay!!!”
The property literally backs on to a quiet part of the beach. It is amazing to see the sunset/ sunrise and swim right next to the home! They had huge mosquitos nets. And the family is so amazing, they cooked dinner and breakfast and were so kind. I can’t recommend this place enough for an authentic Sri Lankan stay on top of that is was an amazing price!

Super welcoming family, breakfast is really nice fresh home cooked food for a super cheap price. Location is great, the beach is literally in the back yard as stated in the name of the accommodation.

I stayed 4 nights in Hikkaduwa backyard beach homestay.. It is close to beach, just walking distance, beach very calm place as away from Hikkaduwa Town... Room with basic facilities, wifi and hot water also there.. Out side Restaurant is best place for Srilankan food prepared by Lalitha.. I will come to Hikkaduwa backyard beach homestay again...and recommend for other guests.. Host is Dilini, given details of location of homestay and other details what I need... This is best homestay in Hikkaduwa.

“Amazing staying with locals”
Location is amazing, almost right on the beach, just need to pass the garden. The couple who runs the place, actually who lives there, they are amazing welcoming people. They cooked for me and treaded with juices. The place is clean, hot water is always available as well as summer shower outside. Laundry service and scooter rental are also provided if needed. Highly recommend this homestay
