“Wonderful accommodation with beautiful staff and facilities”

Beautiful building with the most friendly staff. We had an early flight and the staff woke up early to have breakfast prepared for us before we leave. The building is a little bit out of town which was perfect as it was peaceful and relaxing for our last night in Sri Lanka.

The villa was absolutely beautiful — full of charm with its colonial architecture and impeccably clean throughout. The pool was crystal clear and incredibly inviting, but the real highlight was the outstanding service from Mohan and Sasha. On Saturday night, heavy rain kept us from going out, so we decided to dine at the villa. Mohan graciously offered to cook for us. He went out to buy fresh ingredients and prepared an incredible prawn curry and perfectly grilled tuna. One member of our group couldn’t handle spicy food, and Mohan even made a separate milder version just for her — such thoughtful service! Every morning, breakfast was generous, varied, and absolutely delicious. This villa is fantastic value for money, and we’d definitely come back — in fact, we didn’t want to leave!

The property was very tranquil and neatly tucked away off the beaten track. Mohan and his team were exceptional from start to finish. Probably the best place to stay in Galle for an authentic experience. From freshly made roti and string hoppers, to celebrating my wife’s birthday with a surprise cake and the massive pool, can’t think of anything to top it. Thanks again for a brilliant stay and wonderful service.

Location. Lovely quiet tranquil location in the chaos of Galle. Very welcoming. Great to have a pool to dip into. Breakfast was great…. Coconut Roti were excellent. Lovely welcoming staff. Easy to get the bus to Turtle Beach, or tuk tuk to The Fort area.

A wonderful stay in a beautifully restored colonial house - an oasis of calm and tranquility only a 10 min Tuk Tuk ride from the Dutch Fort. There are only 3 room at the villa and so it feels like you are staying as guests in the house. - not a hotel. The staff are very attentive and arrange anything that is required. Pool area is lovely and a great escape from the heat and frenetic city of Galle. Highly recommended.

“Green Casa - an oasis and comfort after a long trip!”

An unexpected stay! We had to replan our trip last minute due to a cancellation on a connecting flight. We had plans to get to Kandy / Ella, but they were all scuppered. But we found ourselves in Galle, where we had wanted to visit but knew our initial plans would not afford. So as they say, every cloud.... The Green Casa is a beauty to behold. A 150 year Dutch merchant villa that's been redesigned - keeping the old features in tact, with nostalgia added from an age long gone and the feel of the old colonial days. There has been a lot of respect in maintaining the history of the architecuture. Old pictures taken by the owner bring to light the history of communities in Sri Lanka. We arrived to Mohan, who gave is the warmest Sri Lankan. He looks after the property and the guests there, and made us feel so welcomed. We arrived to welcome drinks, and felt so spoilt during our 2 night stay. They somehow knew that we had a difficult trip to get there, and even if they didn't, we felt they knew. Thank you to the team at Green Casa! It was the most beautiful stay!
