Ceylon Olive Galle is an oasis that you must visit. Superbly stylish overall construction giving spacious rooms. Attention to details is obviously imperative to Kamudu and he makes you feel soooooo welcomed. Once his Resturant is completed you will not need to leave the compound.

A nice and quiet guest house nested in a tropical garden with a pool. The family room was very large with 1 big and comfortable bed and 2 single beds. Both Kumudu and Era where very helpful and friendly. The Tuk tuk service they propose is very convenient to get to the busy area of Galle Fort.

Everything. I cannot express in words how good our stay here was. Kumudu and his family were exceptional hosts. Era was a true hero, nothing was too much effort. The monkeys playing in the trees, literally just outside the balcony was the highlight of an amazing stay.

Excellent mix of home stay, farm stay and luxury. Large room, green all around, trees cover all windows, balcony, open huge bathroom. Pool was right under clear skies and tree covering all around. Ever responsive host (Shantha), with ultra high service standards. Whatever we wished for, he made it available within mins. We went for Sinharaja hike early morning, and he helped us with tea at 5:15am and amazing packed sandwiches for the trek! Also, the location is so amazing. 10 mins from Jungle Beach and Galle fort, 1hr from Kanneliya Rainforest and 2hr from Sinharaja rainforest!

Wonderful garden, beautiful design, excellent service. We loved everything.

Only a short tuk tuk ride away from Galle. The property was nice and peaceful. Pool was great. We only stayed 1 short night but loved our stay there!

“Heaven!!!”

Absolutely the best place to stay I did two weeks in the Olive Bungalow surrounded by a tropical garden. As a solo you never know if you are going to be crammed in somewhere but just the opposite. Spacious with an excellent breakfast every day. Kumudu and his team were so supportive. Tuk tuk on hand whenever I needed. Info about places to go. A great base to travel around the south and then come back to tranquility. I almost don’t want to share this because it’s so special. People arrive and go off elsewhere in their journey of discovery of Sri Lanka. One or two nights stay is fine but to really discover ‘heaven’ stay a little longer. It’s so worth it. “Perfect and comfortable hideaway for visiting Galle!”

This family-run small hotel is a little gem & a perfect choice for visiting Galle. We stayed two nights in the Olive room, up in the trees with private balcony (where breakfadt is served). The green garden and the small pool are perfect to relax. WiFi works well. Most importantly, Kumudu is a perfect host! His staff will take you to Galle Fort and pick you up again by Tuktuk; it’s just an 8 minute ride.

Room was amazing, breakfast for each hotel guest on their terrace/balcony was very special.

“Must stay when in Galle!”

It was very clean and quiet set inside nature and in a lovely setting. The team and especially Kumudu, the host was a very friendly and helpful personality always trying to make the stay comfortable. The rooms were spacious and comfortable with a massive outdoor bathroom and shower. They also have a lovely tuktuk which is available to visit surrounding areas like Galle fort, unawatuna etc.

“Beautiful family run guesthouse nestling amongst the trees”

About a mile from the centre of Galle set back from the road, this is a wonderful family-owned guesthouse with a quiet elegance with rooms nestling amongst the trees. The rooms are roomy airy and immaculately clean. I had both English and Sri Lankan breakfasts and both were excellent. The owner and manager Kumudu could not have been more charming and helpful. The remainder of the staff were discreet helpful and always smiling. Special mention to Era my tuk tuk driver who was efficient reliable and highly skilled.

“Amazing!”

It’s such a beautiful green oasis outside of the buzz. The rooms are gorgeous, comfortable and spotless. The breakfast on the private balcony is the best start to your day. The owner Kumudu was the most friendly and service oriented host, as well as the rest of the staff. I feel lucky to have experienced this beautiful place and I hope to return soon:)
