Had a really great stay at this hostel. The social area is right on the beach. Everything was kept very clean and tidy throughout my stay. Having laundry facilities and a restaurant on-site was also really convenient. Overall, a fun, comfortable, and well-organized hostel that I’d happily stay at again.

“Would definitely recommend to stay at Bara Beach Home”
Bara Beach Home is feeling like home as soon as you arrive. The guys receive you with a big smile and make sure you feel good all the time. I stayed in the Treehouse and it was perfect. Waking up directly at the beach, overlooking palm trees and the ocean from the bed is just all you need :) The food is really good as well, good coffee! I stayed over the Tamil new year, so we had a good party and they offered a lot of tasty traditional food to all the guests. Thank you Bara Beach Team, you are amazing!

We loved this place! We stayed in the one bedroom house, which was right on the beach ! It was so relaxing, hearing and falling asleep to the sound of the waves. It is 100m from barra beach cafe, which was lovely to walk along the beach to get to. They had great choice of food and cocktails. Special memories made sitting on the balcony watching the sunset 🫶

“Beachy luxury without the cost.”
Comfortable and roomy loft style apartment with a balcony overlooking the beach. The bathroom was unique, the aircon and fridge a nice addition, and the welcoming chairs on the deck made this a place we rarely wanted to leave. A short, easy walk to/from the main Bara Beach bar that manages the room. Plenty of bus stops out the front of the property to catch into nearby Galle (approx 10min travel time). A safe and inviting area.

Really beautiful outside area with sun loungers, bean bags and restaurant - lovely to watch the sun going down with happy hour cocktails. Nice break and easy to visit Galle. Worth trying to stay in their beach bungalows - Forget Me Not which have views direct onto the beach.

“A real get away from it all experience with great staff, food, drinks and facilities”
An absolutely amazing get away. We were a bit sceptical about staying in a beach hut, however they were very comfortable and very well equipped with en-suite bathrooms. The beds were very comfy with an added bonus of being able to hear the ocean from your bed. It was beachfront location, food and drinks amazing and the staff were friendly and just great! I would fully recommend this for a real relaxing break. Our only issue was not staying longer! Great value for money :)

Super peaceful place right in front of the beach, with a beautiful room overlooking the sea. We chose the treehouse and wow… it feels so peaceful. The staff couldn’t be nicer. I would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone! The village is beautiful, a must-stop you can’t miss.
