A small and wonderful hotel managed by its very helpful owners, tastefully decorated and furnished and surrounded by rolling farmland. Close by there were several lovely beaches, restaurants and bodegas.

Characterful and very comfortable in gorgeous location, a very handy distance from Santander (for nipping to/from the ferry) and a just a few minutes' drive to a glorious beach. Recently constructed/renovated rooms and shared lounge, set in spacious and tranquil gardens.

Had a wonderful few days at Casona Las Cinco Calderas. The breakfasts were wonderful, more like afternoon tea and very well presented. Nothing was too much trouble. The honesty bar was a reflection of our thoughtful hosts. The setting was so tranquil. Perfect for a few days rest. The field for the dog to run around in was an added bonus as was Minnie’s welcome back. The decor was very tasteful and freshly painted.

Beautiful rural setting but close to town. Breakfast was amazing! The room was very comfortable and the bed was bliss to sleep on. Loved the lounge area and honestly bar as well.

The property is very beautiful. Beautifully landscaped, very nice and relaxed vibe. The whole design of the hotel is very inviting. The staff is very friendly, the rooms a re cute and the breakfast in the sun outside was just perfect.

The property has a lot of charm and has been well maintained inside and out The decor is gorgeous, with a beautiful relaxing lounge area for drinks. Evening snack/food is available which was very welcome after our long drive. High quality local food has been sourced and provided. The gardens are beautiful. We received a warm welcome and the hosts catered for our requirements. We stayed in the garden room which was spacious and quiet and had a great spa bath. The bed was very large and quite firm

Really liked the location and peaceful setting. The staff were super friendly and helpful with good local recommendations. Breakfast was great and well organised evening meal was also nice. honesty bar was a nice touch avoided waiting to be served very relaxed.

Excellent boutique hotel with great access to Santander, local beaches, beach towns and within 1hr to Bilbao. Great design of this hotel in a historic building. Very friendly and professional staff. Very clean and fantastic grounds. Also very pet-friendly that even includes a separate area with separate towels to wash and dry your four-legged friends!

Simply beautiful. Welcoming and calm atmosphere, the garden was stunning.

We stayed there for 6 days and we had a very god time. Communication with personel was little bit challenging but entertaining. We used Spanglish and we got everything we wanted. The staff was amazing, polite and very helpful. The owner is the star and she can tell you a lot of about the place and surrounding. We highly recommend.
