“Excellent stay - clean, welcoming, comfortable and authentic.”

The property was spotlessly clean with all the facilities we needed. The windows for example were of a high standard with good working shutters and effective insect screens. The water pressure was great, the air conditioning excellent and there was a great energy saving/fire-prevention system for the property's electricity. The outdoor patio area was covered by real grapevines (we tried a few grapes - delicious!) and the property is located in an old family olive grove. There were driveway guide-lights for safe driving in the dark to the property. It was only a short drive to the main road so perfectly located for travel to the local attractions. Communication with the host was also very good, I was impressed with the pre-arrival information and how helpful and caring Kostas was sending tips for local restaurants and car rental etc, flexible check-out and checking in with texts to make sure we were happy with everything. There was a very helpful laminated guidebook in the property with suggestions for local sights/activities, walks and day trips, with information in English about each location, the drive there, parking etc. I've travelled a lot and stayed in many different types of accommodation but felt Olea Cottage was particularly special and good value for money.

I have nothing but words of praise for Olea cottage accommodation and for Kostas. An ideal location for touring the west side of the island, it is close to Chania, and there are many beautiful beaches within 30 minutes. Large markets are 10 minutes away by car. The house is fully equipped, everything you need is there. We liked the silence, peace and no neighbors at all. Complete rest. We really enjoyed our stay at Olea Cottage. Kostas gave us all the information we needed aout tavernas, beaches, be sure to check out his book about what to visit.

A place where privacy has real meaning. Full of nature sounds day and night, very comfortable with nice shady spots everywhere. Peaceful and relaxing scenery in a big olive trees field .Car is necessary. Kostas the host was really nice and he even got us one more bed that we needed for a visitor. Thank you Kostas🙂.

We highly recommend Olea Cottage. It's in a quiet place, it is well equipped, clean, and the backyard is lovely with the olive trees. The host, Kostas, was very kind, hospitable and provided us lots of helpful information. We had a wonderful holiday there.

“The most magical getaway!”

This is such a special little hideaway! The setting, in a garden between the olive trees, is so serene, we just wanted to spend all day there. The studio is a really well-planned space - comfortable, clean, with everything you need and then some. There's a lovely outdoor dining area with a BBQ, next to a herb garden for fresh seasoning. The host's own olive oil, which he left for us in the kitchen, is fantastic! As for the host - he is the kindest, most thoughtful human being you could hope to encounter. He went above and beyond to help us in so many ways that made our trip smoother, and checked in regularly to make sure there was nothing we needed. He really is the epitome of Cretan hospitality, and a reminder that meeting people like him is one of the reasons we love to travel!
