Overview
Overlooking the Gulf of Gaeta, Villa Irlanda features 2 swimming pools in its 60,000 m² Mediterranean garden. It offers rooms with free Wi-Fi and satellite TV, and is 250 metres from the beach. The spacious rooms have classic décor and wooden furniture. Some feature hand-painted majolica tiles and garden views. They also offer air conditioning and a bathroom with hairdryer. Villa Irlanda Grand Hotel is composed of 4 historic buildings, including an Art Nouveau villa and a former convent. The reception is built among the walls of a Roman villa from the 1st century B.C. The hotel is 3 km from Formia Train Station, where trains depart for Rome. Gaeta’s historic centre is 4 km away.

“Great base in Gaeta for exploring.”
Lovely (huge) classic hotel originally built by Irish monks I believe. It's in a good location although the town is not walkable. Great base for sightseeing in the area. We changed rooms for one night as there was a private function and it was in a newer block and was much nicer than the older building. Staff were all lovely.

“A lovely relaxing few days before heading to Rome”
It was a grand property and was able to accommodate both weddings and other guests although perhaps more private tables in dining room while weddings are going on. Very clean and staff very helpful and friendly

“Top notch stay by the sea”
Beautifully maintained and within reach of Gaeta and mountain villages, this was a great place for our family to soak up the last rays of the summer. Great restaurant. Thanks especially to Rosario for looking after our family by the sea and at the pool.

Beautiful pool and garden areas. Room was large as was the bathroom. Breakfast area was lovely and plenty of choice to eat. We had lunch one day and it was very good. Staff serving the breakfast and lunch were very friendly and helpful. The pool man was also lovely and helpful.

“Lovely place”
Lovely pool and surroundings. Dinner right on the waterfront was fantastic looking over the bay with the moon coming up. Staff were great and very helpful.
