“A relaxing holiday with friendly people”

The rooms are quite large and have many facilities. This included a warm shower, a small fridge, a balcony with furniture (we really enjoyed this, quite relaxing to see everything from above) and great air conditioning as well as a fan. The meals we had were quite tasty and the staff are very friendly. We were always provided with drinking water and fresh towels. Additionally, Iqbal is quite responsive on WhatsApp so it is easy to contact him for anything you need. There is some nice decor going on as well, with driftwood on the balcony for drying clothes and many plants throughout the lobby and communal areas. The Inn is quite central in location, being close to the tourist beach, restaurant and many other local shops. There are many excursions available and we were fortunate enough to see dolphins, turtles, octopuses, a shark and a manta ray! It was great to have such knowledgeable, friendly guides as well. The local ferry was not running on our scheduled return day, so Iqbal very kindly let us return to our room after checking out and sorted a speedboat for us. We were very grateful that we were still able to make our flight! Gaafaru itself is quite a lovely island. The beach has sun loungers and swings. There are hammock chairs all over the place so plenty of places to stop and chill. I would recommend going for a walk on a Friday afternoon to the playground. It’s great to see all the community get together and see the children having fun! Also, be sure to catch all the amazing sunsets. If you like having the beach to yourself, I’d recommend going there around lunchtime or late afternoon.

Comfortable stay on lovely Gaafaru. The room was large and adequate, food was plentiful and filling, and the resident manager was very friendly and willing to help.

ikbal is a great host 6 days with three-time power (simple) with 380$ taxes, no cheaper. the air-conditioning broke, replaced for a new 3 hours!

It was a bitter-sweet experience. The beginning was rough, because I was informed I will be picked up when I arrive at 10 am and after travelling with two little kids for many hours (almost 24h) - one of my kids being 3 - I found out upon arrival, that I have to wait in the heat for over 5 more hours at the airport for the boat - would be good to inform guests about that "detail" - I was a wreck, even cried with frustration (jet lag I guess and exhaustion). I was also a little shocked how the island looked when we got there (being a year ago on a private island in the Maledives - there was a big difference). The beach for the tourists was nice though, maybe a little dirty (we cleaned up a few times with the kids some bottles and other dirt from the water and the beach) and you have to walk about 10 minutes to get there. I was also surprised that the breakfast was not at the hotel - we had to walk about 5 minutes to get to a restaurant, not far but just didn't expect that. Later on the owner tried his best, even going to the doctor at night for the cough sirup for my son - I appreciated that a lot. There was also no problem with the invoice at the end. We enjoyed our trips as well, we went to see the turtles and sandbank. Overall it was a good experience but my expectations were a little higher with the owner being informative (not with the hotel itself, I knew that I don't pay for 5 star hotel and was not expecting that). We were lucky to see glowing plankton - and it was also the owner who informed us to go see it so I am grateful for that as well. I am sure that after stepping a little up with the customer service upon arrival, all will be good for this hotel and the owner.

“scuba diving heaven and relaxing place to stay”

The location is ideal. nearby the arrival jetty, tourist beach and restaurants/cafes. The guesthouse is newly renovated and has all the standard amenities and balcony. Scuba diving was amazing and organised through the guesthouse. The local reef is stunning and the staff are all extremely nice and accommodating.

Location was good, very close to beach. Tidy and comfortable room, very cordial and friendly staff, just opposite of the inn is a general store to buy snacks and fruits. Value for money in short.
