“Very welcoming, comfortable place”

The property was excellent, well equipped and big for a couple . Lily and her son Hao were so welcoming, they did everything to make our stay comfortable. The breakfast every morning was delicious. They picked us up from the station and dropped us off at the end of our stay. We arrived in a Typhoon and Hao took us shopping for food. He delivered lychees to us the next day. I would visit again just to meet these two.

Very cozy nice stay. The owner - Lily was sooooo nice and friendly. For sure it was the best breakfast we had during our whole stay. 5 mins away from Taroko entrance. There is a big parking place. Very quiet during night. No smell from bathroom. Even though the Taroko is closed I totally recommend a trip there. We were heading to Sun Moon Like but anyway I totally advise you just to ride it through at least to Tianxiang!

“Exceptional host and great facilities.”

The house is a little out of the way to find but well worth it. You have a whole house and facilities to yourself. Shared kitchen/ sitting room downstairs and your own very comfortable room upstairs (good aircon!). There are four or five bedrooms - I was the only person in the house on the night I stayed. There’s a washing machine, excellent bean to cup coffee machine, fridge, microwave… everything you need. Large parking area 20m from the house if you are driving The host was exceptional- friendly, extremely helpful and caring. I will stay here again.

The two owners we interacted with were incredibly friendly and helpful! If starting a trek/cycle around the Taroko Gorge this is a great place to stay before your adventure. Coffee, water and tasty little breakfast were provided.

The best part of the stay turned out to be chatting with other interesting guests in the common room on the main floor. Very convivial atmosphere that made for a really nice time.

Lily and her son Hao were extremely welcoming, and seemingly couldn't do enough to facilitate our stay, including driving us into town for dinner (though there are plenty of dinner options within walking distance) and to the 7-11 to pick up a picnic for our hike. Having access to a washing machine was really useful during our two week trip. Everything else about the stay was comfortable and clean, and the chat with other guests was nice. There is a bus stop very nearby with a good selection of buses going into the gorge. You can use ez card in the buses. Best to top up before you get to xincheng.

Hao was very friendly and welcoming when we arrived and the place was really great. It was very clean and nice facilites with microwave and toaster in the communal area downstairs.

We had a lovely stay at the guesthouse, which was clean and comfortable. The shared living room has coffee and tea-making facilities and fruits. Hao and his mum, Lily, are warm, friendly and helpful hosts. They provided recommendations and bus schedule information regarding places of interest in the Taroko Gorge. Hao picked us up from the train station, helped us to make dinner reservations, drove us into town for dinner and picked us up after dinner. Hao and Lily bought breakfast based on items that we select from a menu. The breakfasts we had on both days were delicious. The guesthouse is conveniently located just a few bus stops away from the Taroko Gorge Visitor Centre and entrance to the Shakadang Trail.

Very clean comfortable room. Tea, coffee and snacks provided. The boss is very friendly and helpful recommending good places to eat. We needed to leave very early in the morning and they gave us the option of helping us get food to take with us that evening or a small refund of money so we could buy breakfast ourselves the next day.

This is an excellent place to stay, with a very welcoming family. They helped us a lot in making the most of our time in Taroko. highly recommended!

“Hospital welcoming place in the middle of a village...”

Nice people, who were very hospital, friendly and engaged in helping us in all different situations..The breakfast was inspiring and she really tried to please us. He was helpful in taking unsbto the railway station and picking us up from restaurant.

“Superb accommodation just a few minutes from Taroko”

We had a wonderful stay. The accommodation is located a few minutes scooter ride from Taroko (it is also possible to get there by bus). Our host was very kind and did everything to make our stay as pleasant as possible. She recommended some very good restaurants. The traditional breakfast was delicious.
