Overview
Offering uninterrupted views of the surrounding greenery, Silks Place Taroko Hotel is located within the Taroko National Park in Hualien County. It features an indoor pool, an outdoor pool and 2 dining options. Chinese and Western dishes are served at Mei Yuan Restaurant. Featuring an international menu, Wellesley Restaurant serves buffet spread and offers both indoor and outdoor seating. Free weekly activities at Silks Place Taroko include yoga and aerobics classes. Guests can relax in the sauna, or enjoy scenic mountain views while exercising in the gym. The property also provides shuttle service from Hualien Railway Station and Hualien Airport to the property with an additional charge. Silks Place is an hour’s drive from Hualien’s city centre and Hualien Train Station. Hualien Airport is a 50-minute drive away.

“Unique 5 star hotel in the middle of Taroko gorge”
Incredible hotel in the middle of the Taroko gorge. Service was impeccable. We had the honeymoon room which we loved and were able to use the retreat lounge which was beautiful. Great food, beautiful facilities that made the price hurt a bit less;) beautiful for weekend retreat as well. Pool and rooftop also very unique

“An incredible, peaceful getaway up in the mountains.”
Wow. Probably one of the best hotels I've been to. Architecturally stunning, extremely friendly staff who spoke great English and made you feel very welcome upon arrival, good size room, great outdoor pool and hot tub, with an outdoor cinema overlooking the stunning landscape. Breakfast and the evening buffet were both great also, featuring lots of good vegetarian options.

Very kind staff, they even helped after something was forgotten at the hotel to get it back. Food was great with show cooking and a great buffet Rooftop pool and spa aswell as the entire setting in the mountains of Taroko was incredible. 10/10

This hotel is truly outstanding. From the moment we were picked up at the train station to the seamless check-in and throughout our entire stay, the service was wonderful. The staff is exceptional, and it’s clear that a lot of thought went into every single detail to ensure a pleasant and welcoming experience. Our room was lovely—comfortable, cozy, and featured a beautiful view of the river. The food was also delicious, adding to the high quality of the stay. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we decided to extend our trip by another night. Highly recommended!

“A Peaceful Calm getaway amidst the beauty of Taroko with excellent service.”
Its a very well maintained property in the beautiful Taroko national park. Their service is excellent and the staff is very kind and helpful. Property has a Outdoor pool with a beautiful view and an indoor heated pool. Also they have a great play area for the kids and also some games for the adults like Table Tennis. They have a list of activities throughout the day available even on their website which can be booked in advance and is pretty good. We did a trail with them and the guide was amazing. There is a temple that you can visit which is just at 2 mins walk distance. Their Buffet spread is excellent with so many vegan/vegetarian options for Local food as well to try which i rarely get to see anywhere else here in Taiwan.

“Wonderful hotel & staff! Wish we could stay again”
We absolutely loved this hotel and its in a stunning location. We arrived by bike having cycled a long way in the rain and the staff welcomed us at the door with ginger tea and a towel, and waved off when we left the next day which was such a lovely feeling. The buffet for breakfast and dinner was delicious with so much choice. We also enjoyed the pool facilities, table tennis and the laundry was a big bonus for us mid-way through a bike-packing trip. My only wish is we could have stayed longer.

Amazing hotel in the middle of the national park, very welcoming for children - workshops, amazing kids club and facilities in the room. Amazing breakfast! The hotel itself is stunning, jacuzzi overlooking the valley, views, everything new and fancy. The trails near the hotel were stunning, loads of monkeys everywhere, DIY workshops everyday and happy hours. Overall we had the best time at this super pretty and unique resort.

“Beautiful silks place hotel in Taroko.10/10”
Lovely hotel in Taroko gorge. Although everything is still closed due to 2024 earthquake, and there are specific times for coming in and out, the hotel is comfortable and is relaxing. Good food at dinner and breakfast buffet.

This is a fantastic hotel in a great location. The pool is absolutely breathtaking—it’s wonderful to swim while enjoying the view of the mountains. The room is beautifully designed and very comfortable, and the bed is exceptionally good.
